Absolutely FANTASTIC place to stay and the hosts were so welcoming into their home. Perfect location. They have literally thought of everything to make the stay home from home. Immaculately clean. So modern but homely and comfortable! Especially the bed! Wow, perfect nights sleep. Can't wait to return.

The place was well stocked, the lodges were in immaculate condition, and very clean. The attention to detail of the layout and fixtures were like living in a 5 star hotel, and the hot tub was the cherry on the top, amazing.

A lovely little town. Well worth a visit.

A lovely little town. Well worth a visit. Easy to walk around, mostly flat. A good selection of restaurants/bars/coffee shops & shops. We ate at Judson's one evening - the food was excellent. We had lunch at The Hide - great selection & delicious. We had breakfast at The Wolds Cafe - excellent choice & delicious food. We had Sunday lunch at The Station Pub - Generous Portions & very tasty food. There are several walks you can do. We did a Treasure Trail which allowed us to see parts of Pocklington that we probably wouldn't have covered otherwise. Burnby Hall Gardens had a Tulip Festival event whilst we were there.

Pocklington is a vibrant market town offering plenty of places serving fantastic local food. It is conveniently located to enable exploration of the surrounding area, with good transport links. Within easy reach are York, Bridlington and Beverley, all well worth a visit whilst in the area. The surrounding countryside is spectacular and peaceful, with traffic being light ( compared to our southern roads!) the further you get from York itself.

Pocklington is fairly compact, with two of the big supermarkets having a presence there. This was perfect as I was staying with my partner at the local resort, we like to have a look around and get our supplies from local shops. We enjoyed a meal and a drink at the local public house, Black Bull which I'm happy to say was very welcoming and had a great atmosphere. Some of the streets are a little narrow when driving around though.

Lovely little place within easy reach of York.

Lovely little place within easy reach of York. We ate at the Feathers - good menu and delicious food. The main attraction for us was Burnby Hall Gardens - although the water lilies were not out in such profusion as the last time we visited the garden was still a wonderful sight to behold

For a small place Pocklington has plenty of food places.

For a small place Pocklington has plenty of food places. Lots of charity shops but not many welcome dogs. They are also very expensive. Don’t forget your umbrella. It’s a short drive to Pickering and we took the steam train to Whitby and had fish and chips

Loved the location, easy to get too. There is a couple of lovely villages not too far away. The Lodge was nice and cosy quite modern decor. We had a lake view form our balcony. The hot tub was lovely and relaxing , their was a bit of a screen around via the fence so your not overlooked when using it. The two single beds were really comfy. Lovely modern bathrooms. Kitchen is equipped with every thing you could need . A bus runs straight from Pocklington to York about every half an hour .
