The hotel was literally at the centre of Port Isaac. If we were any closer to the water, we would be floating. I could see everything from my window, such as Doc Martins house and other memorable places from the show. The staff and food were amazing. The room was modern and the bed very comfortable.

Absolutely love Port Isaac, beautiful spot, so unspoiled and relaxing. I originally visited because I am a big fan of Doc Martin. We always stay in the village because of the stunning harbor and we sometimes take little trips say to Tintagel, Polzeath or Padstow which are only half an hour away from Port Isaac. We love the strong sense of community here and the locals are ever so friendly. We have a puppy and it is perfect for dogs and beach friendly. It is genuinely my happy place !

Port Isaac is a pictuesque village on the Atlantic coast of North Cornwall. There are shops, pubs and eateries both at the top of the cove and down on the harbour area. The walk down the hill to the harbour is a bit of a climb back up to the car parks, but manageable for a reasonably healthy person. Nearby are the the village and castle of Tintagel and the secluded St Nectan's Glen with its waterfall and peaceful atmosphere.

What a magical place the quintessential Cornish fishing village and a real treat to visit especially if like us you are a fan of the classic TV show Doc Martin. We were only here for 3 hours and wish we could have stayed longer. Absolutely stunning location helped by the fantastic sunny weather.

Port Isaac was lovely.

Port Isaac was lovely. Places to see were very well placed, shops were near to where we stayed. it is very easy to get around the village, I think most amenities are very close at hand, there are many places to eat close to the main area of the village.

Mainly a food holiday for us and the local restaurants were great. Nathan Outlaw's restaurant in Port Isaac was fantastic and we also ate at a couple of Paul Ainsworth's restaurants in nearby Padstow and Rock which were also both outstanding. The Cliffside gallery featuring local artist Katie Childs was also a good find and we bought prints. Port Isaac itself is very small but was a lovely place for our base.

Everything about the Sail Loft was nearly as we expected. It was cute, small, but areas were decently laid out and it was comfy. Great position in Port Isaacs. It was very lovely of the hosts to put out basic essentials for when we arrived on the first evening, tea, milk, biscuits and even fudge. The bathroom has a very good shower, easy to control the water. Richard the host work very hard to get photographs to us to explain where to enter the building and the position of the key lock box.

Location is perfect to walk around and see the harbour and all the other places of interest especially if you're a Doc Martin fan. If you have a vehicle, don't try to get to the hotel to drop off your bags as the streets are very narrow and heaps of people walking on them . Might be ok if you have a mini. Take the first park you see. Staff are friendly and helpful.
