We were given very clear instructions beforehand on how to get in. I am familiar with key-safes but if I didn't I would know what to do. The bus service was very good and we caught the 14 from the train station as it happened to turn up as we arrived. The bus was very clean, which was a delight and it stopped at Chailey Avenue. There were a variety of towels supplied, crockery and cutlery. The TV had a Roku streaming device already set up and the TV could be turned to face where you were sitting. The studio had more or less everything needed for a short stay, even a plug-in hot plate, toaster, pot and pan. Washing up products were supplied. It was about a ten minute walk or less to the local Tesco Express. There was poor weather one night and it cost us a GBP 1 to get back up the hill, which was worth it at the time. The black-out blind on the front window worked well. The bed was very comfortable and was a good size. I liked that there were a variety of chairs to choose from.

This is probably my favorite place I’ve ever stayed via booking.com. The hotel is beautiful located right on the main beach way. The views were gorgeous. The actual room was spotless and extremely modern and well done. The staff were some of the nicest, kindest people I’ve ever met.

The location is excellent 100 mt to the shore. The property, rooms, the bar and restaurant are awesome and the breakfast is to die for. Apart from all the positive attributes, I was amazed at their problem solving skills. For some glitch in the booking system my room rez for 2 nights was cancelled 4 days before the trip in booking.com. And we were going for a wedding so cant change the dates. I reached out to the hotel and they were fully booked for the weekend; however they worked some magic. We ended up staying in two different upgraded rooms in two nights and the rooms were fantastic. We are so thankful to everyone for this and hope to visit again soon.

Access to the beach is not too difficult for someone whose joints creak a bit. A long slope with hand rail is helpful. Our sunny but bracing walk along the prom was enlivened by cheerful visitors and dogs . The outdoor cafe afforded shelter from the wind and good coffee. After 2 hours we walked slowly into the village and were charmed by the buildings and quirky shops, the Grange library and art gallery, duck pond and church with Burne Jones windows. We found very clean toilets inside the church too. Thanks for this.We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Rottingdean.

Rottingdean is picturesque. Little streets with old pubs, houses and a church. The windmill is gorgeous. Beaches have great walkways for kids, plus they are wheelchair accessible. Also loads of areas for walking up the hills with great views.

We personally like the history surrounding Rottingdean - there's so much for those interested. There is a good regular supply of buses, whether to Brighton or Eastbourne or other destinations, with a bus stop conveniently near, also good walks along the cliff top or the undercliffs.

What a charming place to spend the day.

What a charming place to spend the day. We strolled around Kiplings Garden and got to go inside a windmill! Loved the exhibition at The Grange too. A good selection of traditional pubs with amazing gardens and one with a view of the duck pond on the green. Had a dip in the Art Deco Lido at Saltdean too. Great cafes and places for breakfast and afternoon tea too. Lots of vegan options. A real gem away from the hustle and bustle of Brighton.

I grew up in Rottingdean although haven't returned for several decades. It is still a delightful village, especially around the green and pond. A lot less the victim of too much tourism which affects Brighton itself. Easy transport connections along the coast in both directions. I will be sure to return a lot sooner than before.

A lovely area with plenty to do - just down the coast from the bustle of Brighton and Worthing. Great beach and seaside town with plenty of independent shops to explore - also ideal if you want a base to go hiking in the Sussex countryside.

Wonderful suite room. Amazing bathroom. Breakfast excellent. Staff attentive and helpful. The hotel and the services excedded our expectations. I will definately recommend it. Short drive to busier towns but lovely and quiet for a walk on the under cliff path. (We walked to Brighton in under two hours). The comments below about the wifi are the only minor issues we found.

Great location. The sun shone and it was gorgeous to sit on the balcony and enjoy. Rottingdean is an interesting place to potter around. So many famous and interesting people have lived there. There is also great access to some lovely places nearby. I liked the style of the hotel and it's commitment to local and natural.. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
