Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating host. The hot tub was already warming on our arrival and he offered to get it going the next day whilst we were out and kept the wood stocked up. Powerful showers that get nice and hot, comfy beds. Great views, very peaceful and scenic. Ruthin is a nice village with some good pubs. Will definitely be back, thank you!

Well decorated and finished property, lovely welcome basket and very nice hot tub. The whole place felt very modern and comfortable, the bathroom and shower in particular were very good. Location was good for food shops with Tesco across the road, and kitchen was easy to use.

The grounds of Ruthin Castle were amazing.

The grounds of Ruthin Castle were amazing. Lots of history information around the interior. The interior in places needed a little more tlc - touch ups and dusting. Ruthin town was great and will be stunning when the town centre imptovements are finished. It is not too touristy so there is a quietness in the town.

I visit Ruthin often, we love going especially to Lavinia Stamps Dreamatorium! We stay 3 ro 4 times a year when they have their fairy events on. We are totally in love with the surrounding area too. Ruthin castle is lovely to walk around and especially to see the peacocks. It's a very friendly place to visit. Great choice of places to eat too. Highly recommend 👌

Ruthin is very attractive small market town, lots of interesting old buildings and tourist attractions. A lot of independent unusual shops, none from large national chains. 5 minute walk from the town centre puts you into very attractive countryside. In the car the North Wales coast is half an hour as are historic places such as Denbigh and Rhuddlan.

The castle is fantastic.

The castle is fantastic. The staff are very helpful and freindly. I loved looking at the peacocks, My son getting married in the castle was absoultly fantastic. No one could get a better place than the castle.

A really handsome and interesting town - with good...

A really handsome and interesting town - with good historical sites, restaurants and views, even from the centre of the place. The Clwydian Hills, just outside, are spectacular, and often missed by the hoards speeding down the A55 to Eryri.

An attractive town. Lovely mix of architecture.

An attractive town. Lovely mix of architecture. The pretty centre square has parking, shops, cafes and St Peter’s Church ( though that is currently closed for renovations). Roads lead downhill in various directions, one to the river with a good park. The area near to the former Castle is especially nice. You can stroll in the castle grounds and visit a very old timbered house near there, though it’s only open Wed-Sun. The Craft Centre is an interesting modern building on the outskirts, with quality gallery, crafts, shop, cafe and free parking. Two large supermarkets. The Clwyd Ridge overlooks the town and is a lovely place to walk with far-reaching views. The carpark for a ridge walk is high up so makes the prospect far easier!

Had an amazing stay at Ruthin Castle.. Had a room with a roll top bath. Bed was comfy and huge! Breakfast was perfect by the roaring fire and plenty of choice. The castle is stunning with lots of peacocks strutting around. Went in the gym and spa. Spa has one steam room and a sauna (no pool) but well worth going to. Can't wait to stay here again 🙂

Great location, beautiful decor and check in really quick and simple. Free car parking pass included to park in a car park down the road. Gavin and Chris are great hosts. Gorgeously decorated, cosy and warm. Highly recommend staying in Ruthin and close to the castle too.

The hotel has beautiful surroundings. It is very clean with excellent facilities, the staff were so helpful and really look after their guests. It was so peaceful we had the best sleep. We did not want to leave. We are going to return with rest of the family.
