I was in Shipston for three nights.

I was in Shipston for three nights. Many Cotswold towns are now very crowded, with coach parties and parking has become very difficult. I liked Shipston because the pubs were full of locals, there was an interesting array of shops including a dress agency with high class second hand clothes (anyone for a genuine Chanel jacket?) and a lot of pleasant buildings from Georgian times onwards, maybe some were even earlier. It's a low-key town, ideal for pottering. Parking was easy.

It's a small town, with a few shops, lots of places to eat, and like everywhere, charity shops ! !! We have friends who live there. That's why we stay there.Plenty of free parking.Such a beautiful area, you need a car.

We didn't visit shipston itself but used it as a base for visiting other places, it's very well placed to do so, what I can say about shipston itself having passed through is that it's very picturesque and beautiful

Fantastic range of restaurants and pubs.

Fantastic range of restaurants and pubs. The town had a wonderful atmosphere, with lots of historic buildings. The Bower House restaurant- highly recommended and the Horseshoe pub, not to be missed.

Pretty little Cotswold town only 3 miles from Moreton-in-the...

Pretty little Cotswold town only 3 miles from Moreton-in-the-Marsh, 8 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon and 25 miles from Warwick Castle with the usual facilities expected of a small town - chemist, pubs, fish and chips etc. Nicely placed for touring the area and we also managed to visit Batsford Arboretum (the café and garden centre) for some lunch. You would not be short of things to do in the area. We were at a wedding at Blackwell Grange (a bespoke wedding venue) and this was an ideal spot to stay. It's a busy little town with plenty of character and places...

It's a busy little town with plenty of character and places to eat and drink. The surrounding rolling countryside is very pretty, and Shipston itself is only about 11 miles away from Stratford-upon-Avon.

Fantastic location, room was just right and the bed very comfortable. Owners are extremely helpful, polite and welcoming. We came to shipston on stour to visit the cotswold distillery and they arranged taking us and collecting after. Would recommend the corner house to anyone thinking of staying in shipston, and if we come there again we will definitely stay there again.

The owner was so friendly and attentive, very welcoming. The area was nice, we felt very safe. Breakfast was good, real coffee, and good bacon sandwiches. We had dinnner in the hotel one night, which was excellent and reasonably priced - all home cooked. The room was large and clean.

Anna is a superb host. Always available and helpful. Every detail in the property has been carefully selected, it’s in the middle of Shipston on Stour with every shop/restaurant next door but still in a quiet and nice area where you can rest after a day of tourism.

The decor within the hotel and rooms were so tasteful and the room felt so homely. The bed was ridiculously comfortable and the only negative is I didn’t want to get out of it in the morning. Great stay, lovely breakfast and staff were friendly and welcoming.
