The most enjoyable and perfect cottage that we have ever stayed in. The hosts were wonderful, the premises were pristine, historic and very comfortable, and the food and drinks were spot on. It was in a quiet village and easy to find and access. Everything was perfect and that is a rarity. We had dinner the night before at their sister hotel and restaurant. It was more lively, which was nice and the food was a nice farm to table experience.

The hospitality of the staff was exceptional and the many public rooms, terrace and garden are exceptionally beautiful. The location across from the race course and within a lovely short walk into town, it has a unique and lovely quiet situation. Rooms overlooking the race course have binoculars for viewing the races! The homemade Cartmel flapjacks provided in the rooms are heaven.

The location is right on the seashore. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant was yummy and the selection of beverages was great. I liked the little touches like a set of binoculars to look at the birds and the tidal pools.

Would recommend the Silverdale Hotel with friendly staff and excellent food. Parking was easy and free. Access to Morecombe Bay just a short walk away from the village. Nice walks in the area and Leighton Moss RSPB reserve nearby.

Silverdale is a lovely village and the locals were very friendly. There is a lot going on in and around the village and if you like walking there is a lot to explore. The village was very clean and pretty.

Silverdale is a quiet little coastal village - lots of different walks in the area both along the coast and inland. The Silverdale hotel is a great base for exploring the area - Arnside, Carnforth and Cartmel for example.

Good cooked breakfast, clean linen, quite hotel & peaceful surroundings. Hotel has character but some decorating/gardening wouldn't go a miss Road leading to it was unclassified very bendy & tight corners with poor visibility

The village was a little run down, but there was obviously...

The village was a little run down, but there was obviously the will to make it better for locals. Not really set up for tourists. There was no information around concerning the 'Wolf Gallery' which turned out to be closed until June or July. The toilet refurbishment seemed to have come to a halt. Sorry to see the 'Blossom Bird' was up for sale, hopefully it can be sold as a 'going concern'.

Silverdale is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with...

Silverdale is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with National Trust maintained woodland and very good nature reserves particularly RSPB's Leighton Moss which is within walking distance. It's also good for visiting the Southern Lakes. There is a train station linking it with the resort of Grange over Sands and beyond and very good for walking and cycling.
