We loved it! The first room we stayed in was in the annex and was lovely, then on our return we stayed in a lovely room on the 3rd floor. Lots of steps, but worth the climb. The breakfast was amazing and we also enjoyed getting a drink in the pub, and delicious dinner. The portions were so large they were enough for 2. The staff was friendly and helpful, even providing us a take away breakfast when we needed to leave early. Walking distance to the Aysgarth Falls and a quick drive to Castle Bolton and to Hawes to visit the creamery.

What Guests Said About West Burton:

The villages of Thoralby and West Burton were ideally situated for a base for cycling in the Dales. Close to Aysgarth and Hawes, it was ideal as a central start point to reach all of the well known climbs. Both villages are very picturesque. The village pub at West Burton was ideal for an afternoon stop, as the weather was very sunny when we visited it. There were outside tables at the front which captured the sun.

Charming little well kept village, quiet with a couple of shops, butchers, pub and chapel. Large village green where the locals were playing Quoits. Lovely walks in the area and a beautiful waterfall.

West Burton village is beutiful, a hidden gem in Yorkshire Dales NP. The secret waterfall is a must but I'm not telling where to find it, I don't want it to get too busy with noisy visitors and their dogs

A very nice dales village.

A very nice dales village. Seemingly most of the houses are now holiday lets. But that is the fault of people like you and I who book to stay in them. The village has a pub, a general store that sells newspapers and all manner of necessities. There’s a play park on the green, a waterfall just off the green. The area around West Burton is good for walking. Other villages are within easy reach for a change of scenery. Leyburn and Hawes are not far away for bigger shops

The area was beautiful.

The area was beautiful. It was in easy reach of Hawes and Leyburn which is why we chose it. The Ɓreakfast at the pub was good, however we didn't realise our room was not in the pub but in another building which had some outside steps to get to it. The room was pleasant, but the duvet was to small for the bed. The radiator was not working properly, so we had to use a little heater which wasn't very good to warm the room.
