Everything was magnificent. The views, all the nooks and crannies, the food, the access to the lake water, and the plant in flora life surrounding it all. It is, by far the nicest place i've ever stayed.

I booked a last-minute bunk at Art y Café for one night — and ended up extending for a week. It’s a cool, comfortable, and clean hostel with just the right amount of quirkiness. My bed in the sturdy bunk was very comfortable, and there was always plenty of hot water for showers. The charming new hosts make all feel welcome and looked after, creating a lively and interactive vibe — yet they’re also respectful of those who just want to do their own thing. I took most of my breakfasts from the newly opened kitchen — try the waffles with a compôte of local fruits, or one of the wholesome savory offerings. Yoga on the deck offered by a certified teacher is a great start to the day, and I also caught a stunning sunrise over Lake Atitlán on the Maya Trail, which connects Jaibalito with neighboring villages. For exploring other areas, lanchas depart regularly from a dock just 100 meters from the hostel.

I loved the little bungalow on the edge of the lake, with great views.....could hear the lake at night. And we ate all of our meals there, really tasty for the price. This was a great deal for the price, neat, clean, great location, really pleasant staff....all you could ever want. I was very happy staying there and plan to return soon.

it's extremely comfortable and beautiful place with nice history of owners. good kitchen, we ate only at hostel, saturday night was asado. that was amazing and portions were big. we had simple room without terrace, likely our windows faced directly to the lake under big tree. right in front of the hostel you can pick the boat.

This is truly a gem 💎 I have traveled all over the world and this one is by far my favorite place I’ve ever stayed. Every detail is accounted for with such care and love. As you arrive they greet you at the dock and walk you up to receive a welcome towel and cool drink. Fresh cut flowers decorate your room and burning candles set the mood. The landscaping is phenomenal. They have raised bed gardens growing fresh herbs and produce. Their menu is top notch. Best food I had in Guatemala. I am also a health and wellness lover and their gym is fully stocked and well equipped. I like to do Hyrox/ CrossFit style workouts and I had everything I could need. Directly below is a gorgeous yoga studio which I also loved (I’m a yoga instructor too) and below that is an incredible wet sauna that they cater the scent to your liking ( I did eucalyptus) the pool is phenomenal and peaceful as well. And the amount of hidden spots speckled throughout the property just made this place feel like pure magic. I ended up booking another night because it felt like heaven on earth for me. I wouldn’t change a thing here. I just wish I had had more time. If you get a chance. Book it! You will make some core memories here and it will undoubtedly be superb. 11/10! Gabi and Jochen are amazing hosts. We had inspiring conversations and they cooked delicious meals for us. We enjoyed our stay and couldn’t get enough from the view and relaxed vibe. Definitely a place we will go back to.

The layout of the property feels timeless, blending perfectly with Antigua’s historic charm and relaxed vibe. The staff were outstanding: warm, responsive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their attention to detail really made the stay feel special. Breakfast was excellent every morning — fresh, flavorful, and a great way to start the day. Overall, this hotel captured everything we got to love about Antigua: beauty, history, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended!

This Eco Hotel in San Marcos is truly a gem! Surrounded by nature, every detail is thoughtfully designed to create a harmonious connection with the environment. They prioritize sustainability by using natural bathroom products to protect the sacred lake, just a minute's walk away. Starting my mornings with a swim in its tranquil waters made it the most serene place on earth. Supporting the local family who owns this property, honoring Mayan culture and the land, is a decision I highly recommend. The vegan cuisine served at the restaurant is not only delicious but also my favorite during my 2-week stay. I will miss this place dearly and look forward to returning next year. The grounds are beautiful, the views amazing. We went during rainy season and we found the place to be green and lush. The use of free kayaks was so enjoyable. The staff was friendly. We were happy we chose to stay there when visiting Pana.

Beautiful property, good food!

The whole town of San Marcos la Laguna is incredibly beautiful. However be aware that there are a LOT of dogs and roosters. If you do not have ear plugs you bought have trouble sleeping.
