Amazing calm place, with no noise, but still close to the beach. Very pleasant hosts, tasty homemade breakfast. Terrace is covered by very nice (and tasty!!))) Izabella grape. I lived in both 1 floor and ground floor apartments, despite that the lower apartments do not have air conditioning, they are still quite cool in the heat, but pay attention to this (no AirCond in ground floor apts) when ordering.

Obrovac is an old town on the crossing of the river Zrmanja...

Obrovac is an old town on the crossing of the river Zrmanja which has carved out an impressive Canyon over time. You can walk along the banks of the river to a lovely waterfall. Its about 4k from the bridge. The river is safe to swim and there are lots of boating activities here. Towering over the town is the old castle with ruined walls. It has a wonderful modern hotel, named after the river with a great restaurant. There are several other bars too, as well as bakeries shops, supermarkets and a petrol station. A great centre to explore the Canyon

The hotel is superb and staff really helpful and freindly.

The hotel is superb and staff really helpful and freindly. It is a bit off the beaten track but offers a great location in beautiful countryside. The town itself is a bit run down but it is a great base. A car is a must. Dont let the location put you off. I will certainly be back next year.

These apartments were perfectly located right next to the...

These apartments were perfectly located right next to the water. It was a few steps to safe and beautiful swimming, with enough sunchairs and shades. The restaurant below the apartments was good, in shade and staff helpful and kind. A gentle atmosphere, good for couples and families. Near to other cafes and restaurants, but also possible to cook in the apartment. Closest big city was Zadar, about 50 minutes by car, for some culture and boat trips to islands.
