This was a wonderful and unexpected stay. Everything about my accommodations was flawless, but the best part of staying there is getting to meet and talk with Harvey King, the owner. We had wonderful chats, and as I was away from home for several weeks and missing my dog, it was so nice to spend time with Gunner, Harvey’s lovable canine companion!

Unfortunately we were time poor due to ferry booking.

Unfortunately we were time poor due to ferry booking. We would have loved to had more time to explore the area. The area was in a new sub division area and it was well maintained with a private entry and off street parking.

I really like kaiapoi and I would like to stay there but...

I really like kaiapoi and I would like to stay there but would definitely stay in another motel I found everyone friendly and found some good Cafés at night I were at the speedway at Woodfordglen that was the reason I stayed in kaiapoi because it was close to the speedway track.

This is a great location for somewhere to stay if leaving...

This is a great location for somewhere to stay if leaving Christchurch in the morning or if having arrived in Christchurch in the evening, but not wanting to stay in the city itself. It's about 15km out. Not a lot of eating choices in town - I couldn't eat at the only hotel because every table was in use and/or reserved (on a Wednesday evening) so had to go to the little strip of various takeaway places opposite, where there was plenty of choice

Loved the friendly welcome and.lovely hospitality. Great to catch up with other guests and chatting with the owners. The garden was such a delight to wonder about in. Just a short trip to Kaiapoi and not too far into Christchurch.
