A front room with views of the water. A beautiful outdoor space. Easy laundry and lines to hang items. The bed was comfortable and the sound of the water was amazing to sleep to. The check in was smooth and staff was friendly.

Plimmerton is a gorgeous village just out of Wellington and...
Plimmerton is a gorgeous village just out of Wellington and short ride on the train. The train and the village shops are only a 15min walk from the Lodge. We had gorgeous weather with the water still and sparkling. Awesome sunset. Loved watching the locals one by one walking their babies/very happy dogs on the beach. You want to get up early and enjoy a serene walk on the beach. We were there to visit family, and for a wedding.

A bit tricky to enter from Steyne Ave, needs more prominent...
A bit tricky to enter from Steyne Ave, needs more prominent signage, but good to park the car & walk along the waterfront. NZ seabirds active along the shoreline...the gulls wanting your fish"n"chips near the shops. White-fronted terns on the rocks were mating (it's Spring!). Little (Pied) shags abound. No marine mammals seen on day of visit.
Town of Mana down the road had more shops & supplies, Plimmerton more residential. Take Greys Road up the hill for a more overall commanding view. Tuis & Kereru (Wood Pigeons) feasting on blossom nectar as you go up the hill.

Across the road from the beach. Road is not busy as it only leads to Plimmerton village. Excellent, bright kitchen with all that you need, including an airfryer! Shared facilities but, the toilets and showers are in individual 'rooms' i.e. not in a communal room with cubicles. Very clean. We stayed in the double corner room with large windows and spectacular views. Our bed was very comfortable, with crisp white sheets. A warm, welcoming, friendly lodge.

Aquavilla suited us to be able to visit family and friends in Wellington. It is directly opposite the Plimmerton train station and in easy walking distance of cafes and restaurants.
We had good communication with Tom, and even though we were delayed a day in arriving. Tim made sure the villa was ready for us.

The whole place was old but in excellent condition and decor. A lot of effort has been put into keeping the property tidy. An upmarket backpackers . Boutique Hotel would be another description.
