This is an older home that has been renovated. Very comfortable, stocked with everything you need, cute little sunroom, so much better than a hotel! Location was great. Quiet street. Hosts responded quickly. Highly recommend.

Reefton is a great small town and although we were only there one evening and our time there was brief, we loved the inn and found it very charming. It was exceptionally clean and there was a nice backyard area to enjoy a meal or just to sit.

Reefton has renewed vigour with a spring in her step... Good eateries Pizza, Dawson's and Wilson's, The tea shop for breakfast and your take away lunch for your day trip an absolute must. Lovely wee shops, terrific art scene with great galleries constantly changing good campground with skatepark, distillery. Exceptional 4 Wheel drive tracks with a lot of past explorative history I. e Gold mining....

Amazing little town.

Amazing little town. Were lucky to have a cousin living there who took us on an ectended tour of all the old coal & gold mines. Most interesting. Have been to Reefton many times so have seen the town & other places of interest just out of town.

Arrive in time to visit the local Little Biddy shop and have a look at the interesting shops. Food options range from pub meals to great pizza cafe and a superb bakery for breakfast or to grab food for your road trip.

We paid $1 at the Reefton Information Centre, which has a very good mining display, to buy a leaflet on a walk around historic Reefton. It was an excellent purchase and allowed us to wander around Reefton, see and learn its history.

Our trip was for four wheel driving into old gold mine sites...

Our trip was for four wheel driving into old gold mine sites. Plenty to see and do here. Reefton is one of the few places still readily available for unlimited four wheel driving. Please dont be like the rest of the country and start closing areas down.

Reefton is a lovely town.

Reefton is a lovely town. The river hydro walk is enjoyable as to the local pubs. Dawsons provides a good meal. The new Pizza parlour Bassano makes great pizza, though I thought the wine was overpriced. Accomodation were I have stayed, both great places. Different price points but neither can be faulted. Harold House and The Old Vicarage.

The hotel has so much character to it. The proprietors have done a marvelous job of renovating the old building and making it feel welcome and full of charm, and I could tell that they really care for the place and the experience of their guests. The location is hard to beat right in the middle of down-town and steps away from the riverfront. The food was absolutely, out-of-this-world delicious! One of the best restaurants in town, hands down.

We travelled to Reefton on motorcycles through very strong rains, arriving at the Lantern court was a pleasure, the heating system was very welcoming, not taking long to dry our gear. the owner met us with a welcoming smile and even allowed us garage storage for our bikes. Great place to stay.

The staff inside the bar and restaurant were very nice. We have stayed in Reefton many times as we just love how friendly the locals are.There are great running tracks close to town.Our kids love Reefton and its history snd its always been a special place for us. We always eat in Dawson's.

Loved the character of the place, breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. Shower was awesome! Location is perfect, easy walk to everywhere. We enjoyed meeting fellow guests in the kitchen. We loved Reefton, people are friendly and helpful, gorgeous surroundings.
