Riversdale is a rural destination, no crowds, very safe. It is surrounded by active farms. The town has well stocked shops ,pharmacies, petrol stations etc. There are a few great holiday facilities , self catering chalets, available.

an interesting town, all facilities and the old prison dating to the Boer War very well maintained with cells containing olde wares for sale, and very good eating area with delicious cakes A good rural town, and a few good coffee shops and homes in Cape Dutch style very beautiful

Riversdale is a great base for road trips up the scenic Garcia’s pass into the little Karoo where you should stop at the Muiskraal Olive farm shop before going east to Herbertsdale for a gourmet wine and food experience at Jakkalsvlei wine estate.

Not much to do, but the restaurant we went to for dinner was lovely (Signor Vino). Bali trading is also a great visit, give yourself a length of time for this if you enjoy quirky gift shops as there is lots to look at.

Riversdale is a small farming town on the N2 route between Swellendam and Mosselbay. I did not tour the town in any way but I did make use of the Spar Supermarket which provided everything I needed for my 3 day stay on the farm.

Great accommodation for short stay. Spotlessly clean. Set in a lovely garden looking on to the pool and mountains. Very comfy beds an well equipped. Very nice welcoming host. Would go again. Great stop over on the way to the Wilderness. Ou Tronk is well worth a visit.

We did not like it . We drove away. It was not out expectations. We did feel sade there. So we told the lady there. And she didn't want to refund us. So we had drove back to riversdaleto found another place to stay for the night. We had to pay double. We are very unhappy. Can please contact me. So that we can discuss situation.
