Cottages in Kalyves

Minos Villas are actually a single property, A very nicely renovated traditional Cretan village house at the top of the hill in the village of Armenoi. The single house is devided into two units: a 2 BR / 2 Bath room + Kitchen unit, and a second smaller 1BR/ 1 Bath room + Lounge. The house is situated on a private plot with a gated parking bay, and provides near perfect privacy. We were there during some very hot days, and spent most time in or by the pool, eating, sleeping, pool, rest, pool, BBQ, repeat. It provided an almost perfect stay, so good that we spent most of our time kicking back at the villa rather than roaming the Island :-) The place is well equipped for a comfortable stay, and the owner even went to the length of bringing in a Smoothie machine, once he learned that my wife is a healthfood nut. All BR's have AC, and the beds have all been recently upgraded. Very Nice, Great Stay, we will defently return and Highly Recomended!

This is the place to come if you are a heart forward human who believes in magic and synchronicities. The place was built with love by a man who could listen to the mountains and the stones there. You must be the kind of traveler who can appreciate his spirit. The room is actually much nicer than the pictures. No gun hanging, balcony with a great view, a section with a couch that could be used for a second person. You will have peace here especially after the visitors leave. Watching the sunrise from the roofdeck around the corner from the room was divine. You have a 360 view that includes the white mountajns and the surrounding sea. The bathroom is small, but I was fine with the shower! Nearby is a cute town called Armeni where you will find two yummy taverns and a cafe with a garden. Just have a car to get around. Ample parking! Bonus:they make their own olive oil, and Katerina will make you a delicious capuccino freddo whenever you want. Artemis cooked up some Cretan pastries for me too! The staff is pure love 💕 Despina knows all the great local spots and helped me to get away from the tourist crowds. Artemis and Katerina are super kind as well. Katerina came to hug me three times to say goodbye!

Everything ! The location - quiet but close to nice villages and beaches and 25 minutes drive to Chania. The pool, the views, the facilities , the amenities, the hospitality. We had everything we need and in addition the hosts brought us home made cake , cookies , olive oil . Perfect stay !

This is a fantastic place to relax in an olive garden while watching and listening to the sea. Perfect for families who like privacy and quietness. The house is brand new and has everything you need. The terrace is wonderful. A/C in every room, but we managed to sleep with open windows. Very friendly hosts. Tip: you can go to the beach through the nearby hotel. At least we've had no troubles with that.

Loved the pool. It was very close to Almireda. It was reasonable to drive to Chania

We rented the holiday home for one month this summer and we were really happy with everything. The price versus what you get is really fair. The place is recently renovated and in a greater location just across the street from the beach. It is much bigger then it looks in the pictures and the outside terrace is great for breakfast and dinner. The collaboration with Rania was excellent. She is such a pleasant and positive person. She welcomed us with sweets and toys for our kids which was unexpected and a very nice surprise. Always available to answer us. She tried really hard to help my husband get a better internet connection so he could work from the location. Unfortunately it was very difficult to accomplish so we found a different solution. Overall we had a really nice experience with Rania and the place was a really good deal for the money. There is a very nice coffee just across the street. The first half of the day is a cafe and the second half is a wine place. We went there every morning for coffee and we made friends with the staff. Such a nice experience!

Host was always available for questions. Great vacation home in an amazing location.
