The room was very comfortable and cozy, perfect for recharging after a few days of physical activities. It was also valentines day and the hotel made special arrangements with my partner to give me a surprise. Shangri-La Surabaya is still the gracious Queen of 5 star hotels in Surabaya, with impeccable service from qualified and well-trained staff, excellent facilities - a really nice, large resort pool with kids' pools and water slide not interfering with the main pool, a good spa/gym area with free and bookable table tennis - comfortable rooms with large windows, expansive views and very comfortable beds providing firm support with a soft topper. Wood fired pizza oven in the Italian restaurant meant yummy fare there too.
