United KingdomWe had a lovely welcome from Andy and the directions we were given were perfect . The apartment was spacious , very well equipped and spotlessly clean . The sound of the waves from the nearby seashore was amazing .The location was perfect for visiting the volcano national park and we recommend joining a trip to the summit of Mauna Kea . We would highly recommend choosing to stay here and do go and look at the beautiful sunrise at the point about 2 minutes walk away .

TaiwanWe stayed at Mahana House for two nights and absolutely loved it. The cottage was beautiful and incredibly comfortable — the bed even had adjustable firmness settings! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and there was a laundry room where we could wash and dry our clothes for free.
The cat was adorable, and for the first time, my husband changed his opinion about cats — he actually liked this one! Randy takes great care of the orchard, and the longans were delicious. We truly appreciated the peaceful surroundings — it was perfect for mindfulness and relaxation.
We shared photos on Instagram, and so many of our friends are now planning to visit too! It’s about a 15-minute drive from Hilo town, so having a car is necessary — but totally worth it. This place is truly a dream stay. Highly recommended!

I only had good surprises like there is laundry, a hot tub and a very peaceful backyard space. The host even left very enjoyable gifts/treats! United StatesWe enjoyed the spacious living and dining areas and we cooked several meals in the fully-equipped kitchen. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the bathrooms were excellent. Kenji welcomed us personally and we felt comfortable calling him with any questions.

The drive to the hotel sets the tone! Amazing boutique hotel with beautiful rooms. The waterfall is stunning. Breakfast is good. Would definitely return if travelling this way again

I would highly recommend Wailuku Guesthouse to others, when staying on Maui. What a beautiful property. Wish I had enjoyed more of the amenities such as the pool.
I love that they had a small personal cooler with an ice pack, towels, small fridge available for your use during your stay and not to mention the beach, chairs and umbrella!

We loved our stay at Hale Kawehi Guesthouse! The house is spacious and we had everything we needed- breakfast and snacks foods were even provided. There are lots of lovely seating areas, inside and outside. The house gets great air flow, as some of the only doors are fly screen doors. The quirky vibe is lots of fun! The facilities and full kitchen were great. Thank you for having us stay!

Amazing little boutique hotel in the rain forest. It was quaint but well cared for. Great option to allow you to spend a full day exploring Volcanoes National Park and then have an early start on the drive to Kona (so you can stop for lots of adventures along the way). We loved our stay.

Very clean room in a quiet, green residential community. Great location close to the coast. There was a microwave and fridge, which were appreciated. Lots of birds and birdsong. Owner gave very clear instructions over text.

It was as expected: honest and essential, but comfortable.
There was breakfast (coffee and cereal bars) with fresh fruits. The staff is very friendly. I like the location and they were very clear about the directions, which were provided by email.
Many Uber and Lift may complain about carrying you up there. Just be aware and ask the host about some trusted taxi contact
