Neighborhood info

St Andrews Beach, or Capri Beach as it was previously known until the 1960’s, is a small coastal town nestled among the sand dunes between Gunnamatta and Rye. The beautiful waters of Bass Strait make St Andrews Beach a popular surf spot all year round and forms part of a 35 km stretch of beach from Cape Schanck to Portsea. This town is the perfect place to stay for people who want to get away from the crowds, it is quieter as it doesn’t have any shopping strips or restaurants which are found throughout the rest of the Mornington Peninsula. It’s a great spot for enjoying natures wonders, exploring the beach and sand dunes whilst still only a short drive to lovely restaurants or cafes. St Andrews is also popular with golfers, with a scenic golf course located in the famous Cups region of the Mornington Peninsula which has some of the trickiest greens in Australia.
