Ashkirk School has been tastefully refurbished to provide accommodation for up to 4 guests. This self-contained unit has its own entrance, outdoor eating area, plenty of parking and additional secure storage for vehicles and equipment. The Auld Skuil has a 4* grading and can be offered as a serviced suite or as bed and breakfast accommodation. There is an open plan living area with facilities to prepare hot snacks. There is not a fully fitted kitchen. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, small oven, toaster, egg maker and a boiling tap. There is a bedroom with two twin beds on the ground floor and shower room. A spiral staircase leads up to a king size and single bed on the mezzanine level which has great views of the Ale Valley.
There are four stables, an all-weather surface. BBQ. Outdoor washing and drying facilities. We can offer the hire of E bikes. Well behaved pets are welcome. Wheelchair access to all ground floor facilities.
At the Auld Skuil we pride ourselves in offering you a personal service. I live in the adjoining premises. You can choose the level of interaction between us but I am available and happy to share my local knowledge and love for this beautiful countryside.
Ashkirk is a small rural village in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The village has two restaurants that are within walking distance. This is a popular destination for dining out, riding, cycling, fishing and golfing. There is an 18 hole golf course and driving range. Two equestrian facilities are nearby. It is easily accessed from the main A7 trunk road and an ideal destination to explore the surrounding area.
