Company info

We purchased the Inn in March 2022, and have had great welcome from the community. We are learning the area to give as much advice as we can, and once settled we will be tackling the walks to see the amazing scenery we have around us. We will go out of our way to make sur your stay with us is memorable, and as we are new to the business and area, we would love feedback as to how we can take the accommodation forward

Dinas Castle Inn was previously called the Dragons Back Pub and Bunkhouse. We are located in the Brecon Beacons National Park, at the foot of the ruins of The Dinas Castle- the highest castle ruins in England and Wales. We are extended from 400 year old Country Inn with plenty of accommodation, four Bed and Breakfast rooms, three bunkhouses Sleeping 6 people, 10 people, and 12 people. We also have a Shepherds hut that sleeps 2 people and a Dr Who Police Box/Tardis that sleeps up to 3 people for those that like glamping, with access to a shower and toilets shared with campers. We also have a small but perfectly formed campsite, perfect for watching those starry nights in a designated dark skies area, and waking up to the breath-taking views of The Black Mountains that surround us

Located in a glorious valley on the A479 between Crickhowell and Talgarth, we are over 1000ft above sea level in The Black Mountains – part of The Brecon Beacons National Park. We are below the ruins of Dinas Castle, the highest ruin castle in England and Wales. Get to know the11.4-km loop trail. It is generally considered a challenging route as it takes an average of 4 hours to complete. This trail is great for bird watching, hiking, walking and mountain biking.
