We have lived on and worked the farm since 1984.

Property info

Hearthstanes Estate is a working hill farm in the Scottish Borders within easy reach of Edinburgh and Glasgow airports as well as Newcastle ferry port. The Steading accommodates five renovated traditional cottages, which allows guests to stay in the countryside and enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, fishing, stalking and falconry on the open hills and forests of the Estate itself. Swimspa pool, Function Room with Bar, and outside Terrace will hopefully be available by the Autumn of 2024.

Neighborhood info

We are in a very rural setting, classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, Wilderness Area and part of the Tweed River Foundation. This allows for great opportunities for outdoor activities and yet we are also within easy reach of Edinburgh and Glasgow for sightseeing, shopping, theatre and other entertainment.
