We have been established for 17 years and pride ourselves as a country retreat. We welcome all travellers and our aim is to encourage those staying with us to enjoy being disconnected for a short time and find joy in connecting with their loved ones. We offer a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of outdoor space for all to enjoy. Despite our remote location there is a wide variety of sites and activities locally for couples and families to do. As a country home and retreat, we also offer yoga and wellness retreats throughout the year. For more information on these please contact us directly. We are a rescue centre for chickens and dogs so you may see these friendly beings from time to time roaming the land. Due to this, we are unable to host travellers with pets. All of our apartments are cleaned and sanitised to high standards and in accordance to the Airbnb protocols that have been developed by Ecolab, a global leader in cleaning and hygiene technologies. We are committed to keeping you safe.

Hello and welcome to Leithen Lodge. We are a grade A listed country home in the Scottish borders, nestled in the Moorfoot Hills. There is over 30 acres of land for you to enjoy whilst staying in this historic property. Predominantly built in the Arts & Crafts period, Leithen Lodge is unlike many stately homes in Scotland, with its bright colours and picturesque views, making it the perfect little getaway. All apartments are fully equipped with fully fitted kitchens, 400 thread count sheets, flat screen TV and DVD player. If you would like to discover the area, cycling is possible in the surroundings. Traquair House is 9 km from the apartment. Edinburgh is 32km away. Floors Castle is 40km away. The nearest airport is Edinburgh Airport, 53 km from Leithen Lodge. Due to the remote location we do not have internet or mobile phone reception available. However, our ethos is that this is exactly what you need whilst away, disconnecting from the outside world and reconnecting with the loved ones you are travelling with.

There is lots to do around us. if you love the outdoors then there are activities such as cycling and walking. Glentress is accessible by bike over the hill adjacent to the Lodge. If you want to visit the historical sites around then there are several around we can point you in the right direction to. The Town of Peebles is only a short drive away. Traquair House is 9 km from the apartment. Edinburgh is 32km away. Floors Castle is 40km away. Go Ape is 9 miles away. The nearest airport is Edinburgh Airport, 53 km from Leithen Lodge. Please note that there are chickens and dogs that roam freely within the grounds. We believe in being a haven for animals and share our home freely with them so we would be grateful if you could respect them and admire their beauty. We are regularly visited by families of deer, singing birds and rare red squirrels, which are now increasing in numbers on the estate.
