My architect designed this basement conversion, which sits under our family home. I am obsessed with interior design, I'm also a writer, so you'll find books and things I love in my place. The bed is really comfortable too - an important consideration I think!
I am a writer and mother of two teens aged 18, 16, and one child of 10, and a Pomsky called Zora We are all very happy to live here in this leafy corner of South East London - a hidden gem.
We are in the middle of the Conservation Area of Telegraph Hill, lovely and quiet, with its great community feel and its farmer's market on Saturdays. But we are also in Zone 2, within easy reach of three train stations, to whisk you into Central in 40 minutes door to door. As well as (I think) the best restaurants and bars in London a 20 minute walk away in world-renowned Peckham and Deptford. At the top of the road there is a lovely park in which to sit and watch the sun setting over London - the best view in the South. There are three stations within easy reach: Nunhead on Network South East, Queen's Road Peckham, and New Cross Gate on the Overground. TIP: Nunhead station is the nearest and it's worth mapping from there if you want to get to West London/ Victoria/ museums. As there are only trains every 15 mins or so, Citymapper does not always bring it up.
