We loved the charm of the property, it had character and it was interesting to know it was 300 years old. The mattress was so comfortable, we slept very well, the bathroom was beautifully decorated.

A former inn dating back 300 years with half an acre of private garden including several seating areas, a pond and shady corners which guests may use. Extensive views across the village and over to the hills, with a backdrop of Bradwell Edge with its parasailers and hang gliders. We welcome well behaved dogs. Stop Press: Stage 2 of the Tour de France 2027 Femmes is coming through Bradwell on 31st July 2027 and will pass directly in front of Lyndale giving guests a grandstand view of the race. We are walkers and know the area well so can give lots of hints where to go and also local attractions. I am involved in many community activities. We also have an adjacent holiday cottage. We travel widely in our motorhome together, or on Rotary Fellowship rallies.
The village is a strong community which does not rely on tourism. A variety of walks start from the village. We have a brook running through the centre, 2 playing fields, one with a cafe and toilets. There is a church and Methodist chapel, Co-Op, hardware shop, newsagent, ;post office and chippy, plus 3 pubs. Great pub (The Shoulder of Mutton) across the road for good, reasonably priced meals - booking recommended.
