A cosy open plan garden studio apartment within walking distance of Melrose (1 mile). A beautiful, peaceful setting in the historic village of Newstead at the foot of the Eildon Hills. Private parking and easy access to local walks taking you to Melrose Abbey, the St Cuthbert's Way, Trimontium, the Leaderfoot Bridge and Old Melrose. For visitors doing the St Cuthberty's Way, Jane is happy to deliver your bags to your next destination for a small fee. Please get in touch if this might useful!

Newstead is the oldest continually inhabited village in Scotland and the site of a Roman fort - Trimontium. It's a lovely little village near the River Tweed and within walking distance of Melrose. You might recognise the nearby Leaderfoot Bridge from the recent Indiana Jones movie! Melrose is home to Melrose Abbey, independent shops, lovely cafes and some great restaurants for eating out.
