Rainsough Cottage Guest House
Rainsough Cottage Guest House is set in quiet surroundings in the select Prestwich area of Greater Manchester and yet still within 15 minutes of Manchester City Centre. This detached house offers spacious accommodation with 5 bedrooms. Two being ensuite and three sharing a large family bathroom. After turning off the main road, the cottage is approached by a private road, revealing a large outside space and parking for up to 6/7 cars on its own drive. The accommodation is convenient for exploring Manchester, for relaxing and taking a quiet break, or for local shopping in the largely independent shops in Prestwich itself. Prestwich has plenty to offer, including excellent restaurants with international cuisines and lively bars and coffee shops. Plus, if you are looking for more extensive retail therapy in the city centre, then why not hop on the Metrolink and take the tram into town! With only 10 minutes to Salford Quays and Media City, more shopping opportunities at Manchester Fort, or the Lowry Shopping Mall! In a large house such as this you can gather with friends and family for a catch-up or celebration where larger numbers can all be accommodated. Or book one of the generous, well appointed rooms for yourself and your partner for a cosy escape from the busy world. Close to Drinkwater Park, a stroll in the open meadows and woodland offers the perfect way to get some fresh air and explore some of Manchester's natural landscapes. So, retail shopping in Deansgate, a convenient location for Parklife in June or for Festwich the UK'S biggest tribute festival in July, or for any of the Manchester attractions or sporting events, you can make this your base.

Classed by the Sunday Times as one of the best places to live in the UK, where they describe it as “cool, calm, and connected”, Prestwich has so much to offer the visitor! With a long street of attractive and largely independent shops of all kinds from fashion to soft furnishings, beauty salons, and restaurants, to bars and coffee shops where you can sit and watch the world go by. Fabulous menus await you on a sunny day, it is easy to see why so many people sing its praises! Choose where you eat amongst the many appealing cafes and restaurants, maybe something spicy from the eastern Mediterranean at The Istanbul Grill or take your fill at an American bar/diner such as TGI Fridays. Don’t visit Prestwich without going to a traditional English pub and the black and white frontage of The Friendship Inn is easily spotted on Scholes Lane. Or enjoy a glass of cool wine alongside a pizza at Cuckoo! Menus from around the world are waiting to tempt your taste buds, whether that is for food or for cocktails! Prestwich has it all! Several celebrities have connections to the town including Elbow's Guy Garvey who lives there still and Howard Jacobson the author and winner of the Man Booker Prize. There are so many reasons to love the area whether you are looking to relax and take in a round of golf where you have a choice of courses at the Prestwich, Whitefield, Stand or the Pike Fold Golf Clubs. A mile or two to the north you can explore the famous Bury Market or take a trip on the East Lancashire Railway. For the culture buffs there are local museums and art galleries locally and of course with Manchester just 15 minutes away you will be spoilt for choice on what to see and where to visit. Manchester itself is famous for its music scene and Prestwich is the perfect location for getting to the Arena, the Co-Op Live, and of course is wonderfully convenient for Park Life held every June in Heaton Park. Prestwich is waiting to welcome you and reveal its secrets!
