Absolutely lovely cottage in the countryside, yet close enough to a main road to make travel easy. Well sized room with a small table and chairs, plus an outside decking seating area. Lindy was a fabulous host, would definitely stay again.

Rosemary Cottage is set on the edge of Hooe Village; near Battle (6 miles), Bexhill (4 miles), Eastbourne (8 miles), and Hastings (10 miles). Situated in 1066 country in a rural location with lovely views across the local countryside. The cottage – just off the A259, between Pevensey, and Little Common, is down its own drive with ample parking. The accommodation (Africa) has its own small terrace and private entrance, it offers either twin beds or a super king sized double bed with ensuite shower, colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities. This room is large enough to accommodate a child's travel cot (which I have but not the bedding). Outside Africa is a private decked area where you can sit and enjoy the afternoon sun. Want to surprise someone with a CELEBRATION PACKAGE of handmade chocolates, flowers and champagne? Just call me and we can arrange something to suit your budget.
I love running my small B&B; I get to meet the most wonderful people and several have become returning visitors and friends. My Team consists of "Tyrion" my Parson Russell Terrier - who loves people but throw a ball and he's easily distracted. If you are not a "dog person" let me know and he will be kept inside. I try to give my guest a feeling of "home from home" and hope that even if you are only here for a day or so that the cottage works its magic and you relax.
There are many National Trust and English Heritage houses, gardens and castles in the area. Vineyards, beaches, walks, railways, bird watching, tennis (Eastbourne), golf courses (Cooden Beach and Highwoods nearest, East Sussex National about 30 mins away), theatres (Hastings and Eastbourne), the trail of the Bloomsbury Group around Lewes; opera (Glynebourne) to enjoy – or take a trip to London or even France. Several good local pubs and plenty of walking either directly from the cottage or short drives away, such as the 1066 walk or Seven Sisters walk at Eastbourne along the cliffs - For children there are amusements such as Drusillas zoo; Middle Barn Farm (petting farm); Knockhatch and Windmill Hill Adventure Centre (for the energetic ones); amusements in Eastbourne along the sea front or on the pier. For those who are cyclists there are several trails in the area. Beaches are at Hastings, Bexhill, Cooden, Pevensey, Eastbourne - all along the Sussex coast - the only sandy one though is at Camber Sands near Rye You could of course, do nothing at all, and just sit in the garden reading and listening to the birds.
