Victoria, a biologist by background, has a passion for combining history & wildlife with contemporary and environmentally responsible building design to the delight of guests. Dawid will be your on-site host, looks after guests from arrival to departure and can organise afternoon teas to be delivered or suggest outings, when he's not otherwise engaged in preparing forest walks. Brucefield Estate is tucked away in semi-ancient woodlands with a rich wildlife and historic landscape, and unique ancestry. Luxury eco-tourism with exquisite accommodation in a historic setting.

Escape to your own designer woodland nest with sleeping gallery deep in a 429 hectare (1,000 acres) tranquil wildlife-friendly estate within an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh. At your own pace deep amongst the wildlife in the woodlands: WiFi provided so that you can keep in touch if need be. Secluded in its own area amongst the woodlands, with large south-facing views across our wildlife-friendly meadows. A contemporary living space that is environmentally responsible. Carefully crafted in Scottish timber to a bespoke design by Brucefield Estate and constructed locally in Clackmannanshire.

Slackbrae is located at the centre of Brucefield Estate which is 1000 acres in size in central Scotland. By car: we are within an hour of Edinburgh & Glasgow, 25 mins to Stirling and 30 mins to Perth. St Andrews is an hour away. By train/bicycle: we are easily reachable by train, arriving into Alloa station, from where a taxi or your bicycle can bring you to us (6 miles) as we’re on the Sustrans NCN764 traffic-free route: see our Strava map here. Direct trains from Glasgow (46 mins) and one change from Edinburgh. Even from as far away as London the 12 noon train will have you in time to put logs on the stove at a quarter to six in the evening (with only one change at Stirling).
