The shepherds hut is on a working hill farm in the beautiful North York Moors National Park. Guests are welcomed by the owner and are available if anything is needed. There is only one hut so very private and no shared facilities. The hut is cosy and comfortable with a wood burning stove.(Wood and kindling is provided) The hut has lovely views , outdoor space to sit and BBQ.Its an ideal base to enjoy the countryside, sit relax, walk, bird watch or explore the area. The ideal place to get away from everyday stresses. Breakfast hamper BbQ and picnic hampers are available at extra cost. A warm welcome awaits.

Hi, I'm Fiona married to Stephen.We live and work on the farm.We have numerous animals sheep, cows, ducks and hens and our sheep dog Tip. We opened the shepherds hut to share the wonderful views and countryside we are lucky to live in, with others.

We are rural.You will need a car to get here.You can walk from the hut or drive to one of the many walks such as Cleveland Way, Wainstones Roseberry Topping. The local pub is 2 miles away.Market towns of Stokesley and Helmsley are 10 miles with shops,market days and eateries. There are many places of interest such as Rievaulx Abbey, Helmsley Castle,Walled garden, Whitby, York, Thirsk Herriot museum, Captain Cook trail, NYM steam railway,we are happy to help plan your days out. There are two North York Moors National Park centres Danby and Sutton bank. You can walk from the hut.Other activities in the area include, fishing, horse riding, gliding ,bike riding, swimming outdoor pool.
