Located just around the corner from the village pub and restaurant, our cottage boasts a collaboration with them to enable our guests to have eat in or take away breakfasts (extra cost). We do all the cleaning and maintenance ourselves so you can be sure of a clean and tidy property, toasty and warm too with heating at your control along with a log burner for cosy nights in.

We've owned our lovely cottage since 2011, we fell in love with it at the first viewing. Its perfectly placed for us to use when we have no guests so we can walk on the moors and escape our busy lives, we only live 40 minutes away so can be on hand should a problem arise. We love to just sit in the garden and listen to the sparrows, and swifts in the summer, often as we travel up there on an evening we see the barn owl. The moors are in a dark skies area too so it's a great place to view the stars galaxies and sometimes the northern lights. We've worked with the North York Moors National Park team recently to gain accreditation to their nature friendly, dark sky friendly, cycle friendly and walker friendly schemes, you will find lots of extra items in the cottage to enable you to enjoy the area like binoculars and boot driers, reclining chairs and blankets. We sometimes grab a cheeky pint in the pub around the corner too! We love sharing our cottage and can give plenty of tips on where to go and where to eat, we've both grown up locally and know the area very well.

Just 20 minutes from Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall, The North York Moors railway and the National bird of Prey centre there’s plenty to do locally, probably why our guests return time and time again.
