The Old School in Idbury is a perfect location from which to explore the Cotswolds, being just 10 minutes drive from Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold and Burford. Idbury itself is a tiny village on the top of Idbury Hill overlooking a rolling rural landscape, with beautiful walks and excellent cycle routes from the doorstep. Both the Balcony Room and The Garden Room at The Old School are spacious, light and tranquil and have blackout curtains to ensure a good night's sleep in summertime. The Balcony Room has a private entrance with hallway, off which is your private bathroom and up a small flight of stairs is your room with Juliet balcony offering marvellous views of up to 5 miles. We have recently redecorated the room using Farrow and Ball paint and Osbourne and Little soft furnishings and the bed is new and immensely comfortable. If required we can add an additional full size single "put-you-up" bed to the room. The Garden Room also has its own private entrance opening onto a small hall, off which are doors to your private bathroom and bedroom. Double French Doors from the bedroom lead directly out onto the patio and the large garden. This room has also been decorated using Farrow & Ball paints and luxury soft furnishing. The room offers a Kingsize bed and a Kingsize sofa bed if needed, which doubles as a comfortable sofa when not in use. If both rooms are booked by the same group then an access door between the two spaces can be opened. We offer continental breakfast at a small extra charge, which is delivered to your room or served in the garden, weather permitting. This includes fruits, juices, yoghurts, croissants and pastries, cheeses and local honey and jam.
