There is a lot to do on foot in the Cheshire village of Sutton, which is on the edge of the Peak District National Park. There are a lot of footpaths that connect to each other, as well as a lot of moorland paths that connect to them. It's also a good place to go if you're a cyclist. You'll find a lot of hills and cycle centres in the Peak District, like Tissington or the High Peak Trail. There are some family-friendly pubs near Sutton, and the towns of Macclesfield, Congleton, and Buxton are all close by. You can easily get to the rest of the Peak District National Park from here.
