JapanThe host, the property and the experience were all incredible. We arrived to Narai-Juku after walking the Nakasendo Trail for three days. Walking the street was absolutely magical and the house did not disappoint! It is right on the main "street" and gives a feeling of immediately being transported back in time. The opportunity to stay there is something my family and I will never forget and we sincerely hope to stay again! The inside of the house has all of the modern amenities while still keeping the original feel. Additionally, as a bonus, the owner is friendly and kind and took the time to make sure we understood how everything worked inside. In the morning he recommended a great breakfast place which was much appreciated.

JapanI come with kids and dog … everything is perfect for me … staff send kids to ski school from 9 and send them back at 12:30 .. staff are all super helpful … the house is clean , everything is equipped , I strongly recommend jade group ( I hate to promoted as I’m worry I can’t book next time ) anyway … if you have car , 100 % highly recommended :)

Where to begin... Yui-an is a little gem in the mountains. One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed at, designed with so much care for detail. Loved the view of the mountains for breakfast every morning, the delicious curry for evening dinner, and relaxing in the shared spaces. The hostess was the kindest, we had nice conversations over dinner every evening, and she explained us which places to visit and how to hike the Nakasendo trail nearby. Highly recommended.

The location was very convenient, clean and spacious. We are a family of 4 and had plenty of room. The property has its own baths and private onsen to access as well as very close to the 9 public onsens.

The building has a beautiful architecture, with split level design and backing onto a small river side garden with sauna. The garden was perfect for morning coffees and exercise, or a sunset beer.
The family were incredibly hospitable and kindly gave us lifts to trailhead and helped us plan journey to and from via public transport.
The hot tub was great to relax in.

A beautiful Onsen-Ryokan located in a quiet and tranquil area not too far from the Snow Monkey Park. The facilities are beautiful, especially the large spacious rooms with private onsens. The dinner was fantastic, and a great introduction to traditional, local Japanese cuisine. There are many rooms and quiet areas throughout the Ryokan to sit and relax. The staff were lovely and accommodating and we loved our visit.

A beatiful ryokan in a beautiful place. A river flows near by and you can hear the water running down stream. This is so relaxing. The house was Japanese clean, that is very clean. The house is equipped with anything that is needed. A marvelous sound system is placed in the dining area. There is a natural water onsen in the bathing room. Hiro, the host, was very nice.

Everything.
Taki was very accomodating, even met us on arrival at 2am! Apartment was spacious, very clean and warm. He supplied daily breakfast and dinner when we requested, great food and service from the bar.
Cosy communal lounge room with fire place to relax in.
Easy to communicate with and daily drop off and pick up from ski fields.
Couldn’t have asked for anything else.

Design, Space, staff and atmosphere.
The glampling aspect of it is really cool.
Bring your own food drinks and enjoy a relaxing time in the lounge. Staff is available for any cutlery you may need, advice to visit the area.
Onsen is easy access although in the different part of the resort but no problem. The onsen is beautiful

I liked the great, professional, and friendly service from everyone at the hotel. Also, the hotel and ski storage is conveniently located right at the ski slopes. The room was clean, spacious, and warm, with a forest view. The Japanese baths and onsen soaking pool were the absolute best, and a wonderful way to relax after a day of skiing. Delicious breakfasts and dinners were provided buffet-style in the dining room as well as the choice to dine at other restaurants in the community.

Really nice and friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms. Generous breakfasts and dinners with daily changing menues - the wagyu meat was especially good! Private spa with finnish sauna, steam bath, onsen water, cold bath, outside area and even a massage seat and included drinks was bookable for a small fee. Free coffee and tea available in the lounge (tea also in the room).
Convenient shuttle service to the train station.

We loved our stay at Eternal Flame. Nao and his team were amazing hosts and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The breakfast was delicious, they made restaurant reservations for us and looked up train schedules to our next destination. We stayed in a superior chalet which was new and very comfortable. The communal lounge area was spacious and relaxing with a great selection of beer, wine and whisky drinks purchase, board games and nintendo for the kids. Highly recommend.
