United StatesOur room was massive! The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet had very good value since they let our kids eat free (and it was the highlight of their trip!). The location is also very nice, right in the middle of Rotorua, a short drive from many attractions and shops

Very comfortable and well-equipped. Comfy beds and a nice hot tub outside that is kept warm. It was very close to Te Puia and the Redwoods, so it was in a great location. We enjoyed our stay here.

The Rydges Rotorua was an easy choice. Geothermal pool, close to Te Puia, the Redwood Treewalk, geothermal hiking trails, and the cutest cafe in a garden center. Rooms have been updated and it’s fun to float in the pool and watching steam well up from the geothermal area.

Lovely view, attentive host and very comfortable layout for me and my two tween daughters. Tania’s property is at a great location for touring many of the main Rotorua sites like Wai-o-tapu and Te Puia. We loved our stay!

The breakfast was really good, one of the best. Great variety of foods to choose from. Shami and Dave are wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. We loved using the hot tub at night and seeing the steam from the nearby geysers at Te Puia. The two cats are friendly and fun to play with.

Close to Te Puia, red forest and the living village.
Not far from downtown and not far from Rotorua airport either.
It was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for my short stay. No A/C but it was nice and cool during my stay - they have standing fans available.
Toilet has a heated seat and auto flushed without issues.
I did not bring a car but it has designated parking.
I did not try the hot tub.
Staff are responsive and accomodating prior to and during my stay.
Overall, a good value for solo travelers. I would stay again

Clean, modern and comfortable well-thought updates and very convenient to Te Puia and Redwood Forest. There were USB-C built-in wall chargers on both sides of the bed making it super convenient to charge our devices without a converter. Staff was extra friendly. They went out of their way to contact me when they noticed I forgot something interesting the room when I already checked out.

Great location. Close to many popular touristy places, redwoods forest, mud spa, Te Puia and town center with many great restaurants and my favorite ice cream place. Jane, the host, very lovely lady. We shared afternoon chat together while enjoying a watermelon Jane cut up for us. Very sweet. Felt like home.

Very comfortable stay. Would have been nice to have a second bathroom, but we made do with only 3 people staying there. Wifi was adequate and we loved the proximity to the geothermal areas like Te Puia. Super convenient to have the washer/dryer there that we definitely used.
