It was convenient and all the things we needed, pool, grocery store, washing machine and clean. Bottled water in the room. Knew we needed clothes rack to dry and brought up to us without us asking.

What impressed me the most was the friendliness — not the forced kind, but genuinely warm and welcoming.

It's a charming older vietnamese house tucked down an alley. It has a loft bedroom open to the living space, and a rooftop where you can catch a breeze and some quiet. The bathroom is indoor/outdoor, with a large plant and a huge bathtub. The hosts were very thoughtful, and worked hard to accommodate 5 people in the house. They filled the freezer with ice and a container of boiled water so we didn't have to buy any water. They sent a list of good food within walking distance. The daughter manages booking.com and the mother manages the house. Once you arrive, communicating with the mother is faster, I think she lives near by.

A lovely and quiet place to stay, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The accommodation was very clean, and the host was welcoming. Although it's a bit far from the city center, the peaceful surroundings more than make up for it. A great choice if you're looking for comfort and calm!

This was our best accommodation in Vietnam 🇻🇳 so far – run by a very kind and hospitable family who helped us tremendously by organizing our travel onto and off the island and signing us up for a well-organized boat trip around the bay at an affordable price. They even rent scooters, although we didn't have the need for those in the end. The room itself is very basic but it has a decent size plus air conditioning. We also liked the location: close enough to the town center (~15 min walk) but in a quiet side street, not on the busy main road. All in all a very good value for money on Cat Ba, and we would gladly stay here again if we're ever back on the island 👌

The front desk is more than helpful. What I appreciated the most was when he saw me feeling down. He called me up and gave a local Vietnamese fruit to cheer me up. It was really heartwarming. My initial stay was supposed to be 2 days but I ended up booking for a month. This property is the best for a budget business stay.

Good neighborhood with plenty of food options. Room rate was incredibly low. Very friendly host.
