- Setting and buildings are top it is also very quiet and has its own parking outside
- Food, especially breakfast is top notch with various choices and the best ingredients
- Complimentary drinks in the bar every day
- Staff is nice and professional
- Room is medium but has everything in it,,,and the shower is modern and top
- Modern soundless AC that keeps the room at good temparature

The location and proximity to family (in Halstead) is fabulous for us, as well as being just upstairs from a fantastic Brasserie which we also love! Some of the best dishes we have ever tasted and we are seasoned travellers and frequenters of nice eateries, both for work and pleasure :) Decor is pleasant and the in-room breakfast is just perfect as this means guests are not disturbed and can remain in their PJs :) For the area, in our opinion, this is the best place to stay!

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Great styling and all the little touches such as the basket of goodies on the breakfast bar made it even better. Faruk is a great host and text us all the info, including pictures of the outside so we knew where to look for the door along the street. Location is fantastic and we will definitely stay again. Fantastic value for money - thank you Faruk!

Room was for myself my grown 2 sons and my son in law. We wanted somewhere to stay before we went into London for a concert. This place was great value for money. It was a great location for the tube into London from Epping.

Mersea Villa itself was a beautiful place to stay, very comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The location was perfect, the beach in view from the decking and less than a minute's walk away. The area was incredibly quiet too,, presumably it may be a bit busier during school holidays, but it seems this would always be a peaceful place. We went for peace and the sea, so this was absolutely perfect.

Ease of booking, price, and communication were all first class. Personal welcome from the delightful owner. The location was ideal, adjacent to the owner’s home in a secluded, safe and extremely convenient location for the city centre.

Lovely stay at Stone Cottage. Very clean and well equipped. Angelina was very friendly, quick to respond to my questions before we went and was often around for advice. A really interesting location. Our grandson loved visiting the hens!

Great rural location - less than an hour from Cambridge and just over an hour to the coast. Great stay, comfortable and clean. Ready to make breakfast items were perfect- plenty of choice of cereals and bread/ croissants with fresh milk and orange juice each day.
The Red Lion pub in Great Sampford is definitely worth a visit- the food was delicious.
Also the nice walk down the road and round the byway by the fields was a great evening stroll. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We needed somewhere to stay on our way North after a trying long haul flight and this was perfect. The staff were relaxed and friendly and the facilities clean and luxurious enough to fully replenish us.
The location was excellent too and we were well placed to explore Saffron Walden after our hearty breakfast.

It is the perfect place to stay if you would have an early flight or if you would not want to be in rush and mayhem before the flight time.The hotel is next to the terminal building and it takes about 5 minutes to walk to the terminal.The rooms are big enough to fit the 2 big suitcases and 2 cabin bags.They serve both English breakfast and various different foods.
There is also car parking
We stayed second time in this hotel and we will definetelly stay in the future again

The cabin was absolutely beautiful, perfectly decorated and in a super location. We took our dogs too and they LOVED it! The best location for Saffron Walden and other country walks 😌
