The property is beautiful and in a very unique setting. The rooms are so spacious and have beautiful views. The staff at the hotel are absolutely incredible - so thoughtful and kind, helpful in so many ways. They made our stay extra special and made us feel cared for and welcome. Beautiful hotel in the center of Kandy. The rooms are really clean and comfortable. I enjoyed having a kettle to make some tea or coffee. Harsha and the entire staff were so friendly and genuinely care about their guests’ experiences. He even gave me a ride to a restaurant since it was raining and helped organize some local activities. Close to lots of restaurants, the lake, and the temple. I would stay again. Istuti!

What made our stay really memorable is the staff, from front desk agents, to waiters at the restaurants, to the guys driving us around with buggies, to people servicing our room. They have been amazingly kind and hospitable with us. It is difficult to pick one in particular, but if we have to name one we would say Kusal, who on our last day came especially to pick us from the lake and drove us back to the reception. Not only he gave us a small tour but also told us lots of interesting facts about the fishermen and the animals living in the area around the lak

My trip to Sigiriya was excellent, and I was amazed by the...

My trip to Sigiriya was excellent, and I was amazed by the site itself. However, I was shocked by the entrance fees. There are different prices for tourists and locals, and I found that visitors were constantly approached by guides, all offering different prices for their services. I feel this should be better managed by the government, as Sigiriya is one of the country's greatest historical and cultural assets, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I also felt that the historical information presented at the site does not fully acknowledge the contributions and influence of all ethnic communities that have shaped the history of Sigiriya. As someone of Tamil heritage, I noticed what I understand to be historic Tamil inscriptions on the walls, yet I did not see any reference to them in the official information provided. My impression was that some aspects of the site's history could be presented in a more balanced and inclusive way. Overall, Sigiriya is an incredible place to visit, and I thoroughly enjoyed the climb and the experience. It is a remarkable historical site that everyone visiting Sri Lanka should see. I hope that, in the future, both the visitor experience and the presentation of its history continue to evolve in a way that reflects the site's rich and diverse heritage.

I attended Yummy Kandy Cooking Class, and it was absolutely fabulous. SriLankan curries have got to be some of the best in the world, so to get to learn how to make them in a traditional home kitchen was superb. http://yummykandycookingclass.com/ There is so much to see and do in and around Kandy, and tourist guides are willing to adapt to whatever your interest area is. There are aircon buses direct from Colombo, which makes for a cheap transit option If you want authentic experiences of beautiful SriLankan hospitality, food and culture, you may need to go outside the bustling centre to the outlying areas

Dambulla is a great city with significant historical value in Sri Lanka, especially known for the Dambulla Cave Temple and the Pidurangala Rock hike. To avoid the high heat in the afternoon, I recommend visiting Pidurangala early in the morning or in the evening. An early morning hike offers an amazing and beautiful sunrise view. You can visit the Rangiri Dambulla Cave Temple at any time, but climbing the rock steps can be difficult in the afternoon due to the heat.

Habarana is an ordinary local town not overwhelmed by tourists. It has all the faciltities you need and is much less crowded than places closer to Sigiriya and Dambulla. There is a good range of accommodation, and some lovely views from places just out of the centre of town.

Lovely clean rooms and friendly staff who went beyond expectations. The environment was peaceful and calm. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious; and the pool sparkling clean and refreshing after a day out sightseeing. They even treated us to some extra treats in the evening while enjoying a drink in the dining room. Great value for money and would return again.

The village tour was very disappointing.

The village tour was very disappointing. They didn't explain any thing during the tour. All you get is a short bullock, tracktor and boat ride. They eat the same food 9rice and veg) as can be found in Srilanka, so nothing different with the village food either. Dont get cheated

Every visit feels meaningful, whether you are exploring the ancient temples, admiring the sacred sites, or simply enjoying the calm surroundings. The city offers a unique blend of culture, devotion, and natural beauty. The people are warm and welcoming, and there is a sense of peace that stays with you throughout your journey. Visiting Anuradhapura was a memorable experience, and the moments spent at its sacred places will remain in our hearts for a long time. It is a destination that we would gladly return to and highly recommend to anyone seeking both inspiration and tranquility.

Dambulla is a wonderful place to stay, ideally located for...

Dambulla is a wonderful place to stay, ideally located for exploring many nearby attractions on easy day trips. The Dambulla Cave Temple is our favourite highlight, and we especially loved its peaceful surroundings. Throughout our stay, we enjoyed delicious traditional food, which was truly exceptional. The people are incredibly friendly and always helpful, adding to the overall charm of the experience. Dambulla is also home to a large river and an international cricket ground, making it a great place to visit for cricket lovers when matches are on. Getting around is very convenient, with options including private tuk-tuk hire, self-drive tuk-tuks, or public buses. Dambulla is our favourite place to relax, explore, and truly enjoy a holiday in Sri Lanka.
