Great location (there is traffic noise - but what do you expect when you are located next to a major road?!) Beautiful building. Gorgeous room and the 2 dining options are excellent.

We loved this stay. Everything from the room size in the Garden Suite, the natural lighting, the gorgeous bathroom and decor, the bed was comfortable and the staff were very welcoming and approachable. We ate in the bistro downstairs on several occasions and found the hotel to be in the most central location. Would absolutely stay again and refer to others. The roses blooming in the courtyard were just stunning!

We loved this property. It was a room in an old renovated farmhouse with polished floors and french doors opening onto a garden view with lots of birds. We were appreciative of the bottles of wines in the room available for purchase, especially as we were there when the area was on a high wind alert and the power was out for a few hours. The verandah was lovely to sit on and view the grape vines. The complimentary breakfast items left in the room were more than adequate and much appreciated. Also enjoyed the free wine tasting and chat with the owner of the vineyard. This was the property we enjoyed the most on our 10 day tour of New Zealand... and the town of Martinborough is lovely. We enjoyed a great meal at the pub.

Beautiful location and extremely comfortable rooms. We got a free upgrade to the Lakeside room, which was spacious, welcoming and well fitted out. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, helping us out with any questions or requests we had. The continental breakfast was delicious and had a range of options. We also greatly enjoyed the (not included) dinner at the adjoining York Bistro.

This was a real find. The property was lovely including beautiful gardens. The apartment was spacious, well decorated and comfortable. The hosts went an extra mile and provided us with wonderful granola (looked and tasted home made) and cookes. The town of Greytown itself surprised us, full of lovely boutiques and good food. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful when planning our time around Martinborough. The room was spotless, and there was plenty of room for our family to stretch out. Our kids appreciated the trampoline in the yard, and we appreciated the central location for what we wanted to do.

Martinbough is a lovely destination to visit. Plenty of eateries and shopping. One thing I did notice was the amount of retail shops selling the same sort of things. Pricing was also on the high side. Other than that our visit was very enjoyable.

Featherston has been called the poor cousin of the Wairarapa...

Featherston has been called the poor cousin of the Wairarapa compared to Greytown. It is less bustling but there are interesting antique and book shops, a great Saturday produce market and the destination Royal Hotel. It is a town doing its best to improve. Pity about the eyesore on the main street - a decaying building badly in need of repair or removal.

Friendly and helpful locals, especially the hospitality workers. Helpful bloke at the bike shop got us set up for whizzing around. Local drivers very careful and respectful of cyclists. Vineyards appeared to be doing a roaring trade, even in Winter. Helpful staff. All within 1.5hrs drive of Wellington Airport.

Nice little Wairarapa city and good coffee shops and bakeries. Saturdays is a veggie market that people were talking about cheap prices and good quality veggies. Dinner at Bric and Bow was very tasty and varied. Staff at the restaurant helpful and knowledgeable. Easy to drive around and close to wineries. The Royal Hotel is definitely worth viewing, it has a nice architecture and kept features from the past.

We just came over for an overnight stay to see the Midwinter Christmas Festival. Unfortunately, by the time we got there, the days events had finished. We still managed to get a bite to eat Meeneez. Excellent pork belly burger is what i had. The next day we had brunch at Main Street Deli Cafe. Followed that by browsing through all the shops on the street. Due to the Winter weather, Greytown was living up to its name.
