A very beautiful hotel with great potential. Everything feels new: modern furniture, stylish rooms, and well-designed public areas. Overall, the property looks fresh and aesthetically pleasing. However, it was surprising to notice some finishing issues for a brand-new 5-star hotel — small paint imperfections, uneven edges, and areas that look unfinished. In the spa area (hammam), the pool entrances were loose and unstable, which is not only unattractive but also potentially unsafe. This definitely needs attention. The biggest highlight of our stay was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and clearly doing their best — and thanks to them, we still had a very positive overall experience. Food quality was very good across the restaurants — everything we tried was tasty. We would only suggest adding more seafood variety, considering the location and access to fresh seafood. The main downside for us was the ocean. During our stay, it was almost impossible to swim because of the large amount of seaweed. We understand it can be seasonal, but at least the beach area could be cleaned more regularly so guests can enjoy a clean walking zone. Overall, we had a good experience thanks to the amazing staff and the hotel’s strong concept. With some improvements in details and service, this place can truly become an excellent 5-star resort.

everything was amazing, truly we had the best time. The security was there so we felt safe. Try not to get influenced by the negative reviews, I am so glad we didn't because everything was up to an incredible standard. We loved Coco such a cute addition but we are also big animal lovers. Good food, good breakfast options, clean beach with cool restaurants around. The masais were not intrusive, mainly just friendly guys. So happy we chose Karibu. The room with beach view was out of this world.

Overall, my stay in Antonio Beach was very great and comfortable.. Staff are amazing and very helpful and nice ... beautiful hotel and room views are very nice as pictures and more , Supper clean ..food was great and delicious all time .. restaurant staff are very nice and professional, especially Mr Hitesh . He is making sure all guests are feeling satisfied and comfortable and solve any issue, I want to thank him for everything he has done during our stay ... And I want to say thank you to everyone, especially the professional young waiters, Cha Cha , Issa , and other guys too, and the two girls in the restaurant and all the housekeeping team .. Also the transportation agent for the hotel Ahamed he is very nice arranging our pickup and dropping , he organize also our trip with a good reasonable price ..thank you.. Thank you, everyone 💓

The hotel is beautiful overlooking the ocean, when the tide is out you can go for walks on the beach. The staff is very helpful and kind We enjoyed relaxing you d the pool and the evening entertainment

We loved everything about our stay. The service was exceptional from the concierge and housekeeping teams to the restaurant staff. Everyone was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The restaurant was a highlight, especially the fresh and delicious breakfast served every day. A special thank you to the Head Chef, who created a beautiful romantic dinner surprise for my girlfriend and me and provided outstanding service throughout our stay. He was very professional, communicated well with us on food and drinks. The rooms were always clean, the gardens were well maintained, and the pool and ocean views were stunning. The atmosphere around the hotel was perfect, with great music and attention to detail everywhere.

This was hands down the best place to stay in Zanzibar! I was looking for somewhere quiet to relax with amazing sunset views, and this spot couldn’t have been more perfect. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the chef even taught me some Swahili! The staff were incredible: always friendly, attentive, and going out of their way to make sure everything was just right. It’s the little things that really stood out. On my last day, I had a late-night flight and was going to miss breakfast. Without me even asking, they packed one up for me to take on my trip. That kind of thoughtfulness says everything about how much they care for their guests. I’d 100% recommend this place and would come back in a heartbeat if I get the chance to visit Zanzibar again!

Everything, the staff was so kind and helpful. The room was always clean. I would say the breakfast was excellent every day. We had great fruits like mango, banana, pineapple, passion fruit, all the local fruits. Quite an experience.

Being close to both modern and local restaurants added convenience and variety to our stay, while the availability of guides at the gate made exploring Zanzibar effortless. The complimentary breakfast at Mia Hotel is unbelievable. It’s not just a meal; it’s a culinary experience that sets the perfect tone for the day. From freshly prepared dishes to a wide variety of options, every bite reflects the care and expertise of the hotel’s talented chef, Mudryk. It was one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had, and it’s included in the already affordable price – an incredible value! One of the most unforgettable aspects of our trip was the people of Zanzibar and Tanzania. They are some of the most lovable, kind, and welcoming people we have ever encountered. Their warmth, generosity, and genuine hospitality touched our hearts and made our trip truly special. The staff at Mia Hotel exemplified this spirit of kindness and dedication. Azad, the manager, is a standout professional who amazed us with his ability to handle every task we entrusted to him with precision and care. Sihan, another manager, showed the same level of commitment and attentiveness. Michael, a humble and incredible individual, won us over with his kindness and wonderful personality. Adolf, Ramson, Judith, Philip, and all the staff – were beyond words, consistently going above and beyond to make us feel at home. A special shoutout to Mudryk, the chef, whose culinary expertise left us speechless.

We loved everything about this place. We had a beachfront bungalow which was so cozy and comfortable. Amazing view of the ocean and you can hear the waves throughout the night even with windows shut. It’s a quiet area so all you can hear is the waves. The resort itself is clean, staff is super friendly and breakfast right by the beach in the morning is picturesque. We were met by the owner upon arrival which put us at ease and we felt very welcomed. 100% would stay here again !

This place is a gem! If you ever want to experience a private island without breaking the bank, this is the place. Wonderfully attentive staff!

The staff were very friendly especially Mohamed and the restaurant waitress. The housekeeping lady was also a friendly and accomodating person and always came around to check up on us. Breakfast was generous and had variety which was appreciated especially with kids.

Almost two weeks at The Nest in Pongwe and it was one of our best holidays. The location is perfect for relaxation, peace, and feeling safe, while still allowing you to experience the authentic side of Zanzibar. Cleanliness is excellent, the rooms are well maintained, and all of them have an ocean view, which is a big plus. The Infinity pool is beautiful and ideal for relaxing moments, overseeing the ocean. The food is very good, and the staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful, especialy Stephan the Chief of staff. He provided great recommendations for local attractions such as the Spice Farm and the Stone Town tour, and also helped organize excursions, including an unforgettable Mikumi Safari. The airport transfer was well organized by Stephan. Overall, The Nest in Pongwe is a wonderful choice for couples looking for a relaxing and intimate stay. We highly recommend it and would happily return. Excellent value for money!
