The host is AMAZING. He is beyond friendly and helpful. He connected us with his cousin who gave us a great rate for the drive from Guatemala City straight to the property. There’s amazing street vendors for food literally every street you walk down, it’s right by the Mirador, a 5 minute walk to all the best parts of the city and 10 minutes walking to the lake. The view from the roof is beautiful. The property itself was really clean and spacious, and the beds were super comfy. I honestly can’t say enough. We loved our stay here.

- everything very clean - Comfortable bed - Kitchen fully equipped - Very local neighbourhood with plenty of food options, but 10 minute walk to the tourist (trap) Santander Street and 5 minute walk to the market/supermarkets. - Very friendly, warm and accommodating family. - Actually hot shower! And even a shower mat! - Place to hand wash and hang laundry in the back. - there’s one super friendly dog and one somewhat grumpy dog on the property, as well as a friendly cat (all stay outside of the house). - We could have easily stayed here long term. - Note that the location on Google Maps (Search for Casa Mary) is now correct. The location currently provided on booking.com is where you turn North into the neighbourhood towards Mary’s home. There’s no sign on the front door but there is a picture of it in the listing.

The property was beautiful! It has amazing lake views, the staff was very attentive and friendly, and the location was ideal (very easy to get around on a Tuk Tuk). We stayed here as a family of 4 and it was great! Definitely recommend for your next stay!

Well equipped kitchen with pots, pans and - for the first time during our central america travels - a sharp knife that made cooking a pleasure! Good refrigerator with small freezer. They also provide a big bottle of water, so you don't have to waste money nor plastic. 💯 👌🏻 Cute little terrace with rocking chairs and a view of the mountains. Clean big room with a small table and smart TV with streaming options. Located somewhat outside of San Juan which was a plus for us, as it was really calm. Short walk to the center. My girlfriend, being a language teacher, doesn't usually give out 10/10, but she makes an exception for this place, being everything we wanted at a good price.

Perfect place for those seeking quiet and solitude. It’s a cozy two-story cabin with a kitchen, fridge, coffee machine, and great Wi-Fi. Just a 5–10 minutes walk along a narrow path to the San Pablo dock. The views are absolutely stunning, sunrise and volcanoes right from the cabin. I ended up extending my stay. Nicholas was super kind, helpful and responsive.
