Self contained. Very central location. Very comfortable

Reggio Calabria was a wonderful surprise -- A lovely city, with many pedestrian only streets lined with shops and restaurants, a lively nightlife, an attractive waterfront with views across to Sicily, and a fine museum with Greek and Roman artifacts, and the famous Riace bronze statues -- The 2nd floor apartment was centrally located, with a balcony to enjoy a glass of wine while relaxing -- Free parking on the street in front, but spaces fill up during busy hours of the day, so snag one early in the morning, and you're all set!

For the money we paid it was okay, however the sheets were not properly washed and the toilet was leaking. Apart from this the apartment is cozy and has everything necessary.

Our stay at Villino Terramare was not a good experience, even though the house itself had some positives. The property is spacious enough for 5–6 people, and it was clean when we arrived. Unfortunately, everything else was overshadowed by the host’s extremely unprofessional behavior and several misleading claims in the listing. The listing advertised Wi‑Fi, but there was no Wi‑Fi at all. There was no router, no modem, no box, no equipment anywhere on the property. When we asked the host for the Wi‑Fi information, she was very rude, told us she was out eating and didn’t have time to deal with our request, and then hung up the phone on us. She even said she was not giving us any Wi‑Fi information, which made it clear that the listing was misleading from the start. The A/C didn’t work, and there were no fans provided, which made the stay uncomfortable. The listing also claimed there were two bathrooms, but when we asked, the host explained that the “second bathroom” was actually an outdoor area with only cold water. That is not a real second bathroom and should not be advertised as one. Also, the backyard lawn was not serviced, and we could not even sit back there. Inside the kitchen, there was also a sign saying that geckos live in the house and asking guests not to disturb them. This should be clearly disclosed in the listing, not discovered upon arrival. Overall, while the house is large and clean, the false advertising, broken amenities, and especially the host’s rude and dismissive attitude made this a very negative stay. Not recommended.
