From the warm hospitality, the complimentary welcome drink, and great atmosphere we knew we landed in the right place. The hotel has Incredible old world charm tastefully decorated and was exceptional value for money. Definitely not a bland, modern hotel thankfully, an increasingly rare find these days. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates an historic space beautifully remodelled that's run by a fantastic couple. The excellent restaurant, live jazz, kitchenette with free coffee, milk (Inc non dairy) treats , cereal etc was fantastic.

The food was really good and the staff where friendly helpful. I would stay there again for sure.
The room was clean and tidy. We stayed in a family room and it was ample for what we needed. Breakfast cereal, tea, coffee and a fridge.
Everything is centrally located, The pub , shop across the road that sells everything. The motel is separate to the pub and there is ample parking and it is very quiet.

Lovely place to walk around and have a drink
And food is amazing in the area

Unfortunately, we only had a brief overnight stay in Greta, so no time to explore but its proximity to the Hunter Valley is a great bonus.
We did get takeaway kebabs from the local takeaway shop; they were quite good and the two ladies running the business were very helpful and friendly.

Value for money, with all facilities inside and out; the staff is good. The property was cleaned, but the toilet flush overflowed into the commode, and the AC was noisy. There was noise outside early in the morning because the property is on the roadside, but otherwise our stay was good. We liked the property and would like to visit again.

Communication was great, we had pretty much everything we needed for a great stay on the bus.
Take a fishing rod if you can, maybe pack a torch or 2 also. We were lucky to be able to have a fire.

Centre of town is well kept with floweer beds, gardens. A small clean, well kept central ,park. An amazng number of murals with a self guided pamphlet from the information centre. Very helpful staffer at the Info centre. Sufficient choice of places to eat between Christmas and New Year - cafes, pubs, takeaways etc.
Close to vineyards.

There is Gartleman Winery and restaurant which was amazing. We often eat at Jimmy Jones and we have the best crepes at Cafe Brocante ( a gorgeous property run by a young family)

My sister and I were in the Hunter to attend the Red Hot...
My sister and I were in the Hunter to attend the Red Hot Summer Tour at Roche Estate. Branxton House Motel was convenient to this venue and the bus pick up was right in front of the motel. Over all we had a wonderful time on the weekend.
We had a delightful breakfast at the local bakery before heading home again.

A beautiful, interesting little town, full of character and history. Lovely cafe's and art gallery, and amazing little candle shop, and deli. Lots to see, and close to other places to visit in the hunter valley. Also an amazing restaurant - Boydells. A perfect getaway for a few days.

The hotel seems to have been recently renovated, and all the facilities exceeded our expectations. The coffee machine was a great bonus! It’s an ideal choice for family trips, and its location makes visiting nearby wineries very convenient. Situated right in the heart of Maitland, the hotel is surrounded by shopping, dining, and leisure options. The riverside walkway was perfect for morning and evening dog walks. We stayed with our pet, and the pet fee was very reasonable. Overall, a fantastic experience!
