We had the best time. Such a unique experience and we loved every minute. The tent is super clean and cosy with everything we needed. Jonathan was a great host. Super friendly and happy to chat to us about the gorgeous kangaroos they rescue. Breakfast was fantastic as were the macaroons when we arrived. Couldn’t fault a thing and would love to do it all again!

It's right smack in the center of town. Quaint, lovely bar downstairs with big spacious rooms upstairs. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the beer was great! I especially loved the sours and the chocolate ale. Bar closes at a certain time, but the staff let us stay abit later, keeping the back door open for us to go up to our rooms. Bathrooms were heated and huge, and the showers had good strong water pressure. Good wifi too.

Amazing country house with old Colonial vibes. We felt like we were transported back in time to one of those Bridgerton houses. The hosts are such lovely people, we had the best time getting to know them and their pets (Bodie, Charlie and Muddy waters). It was such a relaxing holiday and we highly recommend this place!

Great little town, neat an tidy, with close access to Mt Macedon walks and trails. We walked from Macedon (town) up to Mt Macedon and descended to Woodend- 5 hrs all told with 30 mins break. Would recommend use of google maps as the trail is not always visible on the way down to Woodend.

We came to Macedon for a wedding.

We came to Macedon for a wedding. Although the weather was quite cold, the location was excellent. Will certainly return at some stage in the future and use this property as our base to visit other areas and wineries in the region.

Macedon day spa use to be a nice clean place to stay in the past. Since my last visit to hotel i would never come back ever again. Very uncomfortable. Not happy would not recommend to anyone! Stay away for spa ⚠️👎

The resort was clean and tidy, although could use with some updating, it felt a little tired. The spa in the room was by far the highlight, the view looking out the window was peaceful. We were excited to go to the pool and spa area as it looked so good on the website, but we were disappointed when we got there that the spa had been drained and was not in use. We already knew that the day spa area itself was closed for renovations so this just added to the disappointment, and I'm not sure if this was all factored into the cost or not as the room rate was ok but could have been less considering lots of facilities were not in use. Also it seemed odd that the pool area closes at 5pm when the staff go home, bit of a rush to have a swim as check in is 3pm. The meal at the restaurant was delicious but very expensive, I got the steak which was an extra $10 and then sides another additional cost, I felt the steak was overpriced once you added sides. The entrée lettuce gems were divine, and we thought the rolls with entrée would have been a nice local sour dough or similar, but they were just the regular oval shaped rolls that we get at the local supermarket at home. The wait staff at the restaurant were fantastic and very welcoming and friendly. I would suggest getting an upper floor room as you can hear the spa above when you are in a ground floor room, it wasn't a huge deal but just a tip for those who are unsure whether to pay the extra cost, I think it would be worth it and I hope we return sometime in the future and we will do the same. The area is gorgeous, so many great little stops along the way from Ballarat, and Woodend is a cute little town. As the restaurant at the resort wasn't serving breakfast, we went into town to Paysanne cafe and give it 5 stars.

The host was so accommodating in allowing us to check in early and so understanding when I broke a glass bottle 5 minutes into my stay! The bed was really comfortable and there were plenty of towels and other little things we needed. We enjoyed the self-service breakfast room and sunny garden area with picnic tables. A really nice, simple and comfortable country motel. We will stay here again if we come back to Macedon.

It is a very unique property and room in a good location in Macedon. The gardens are lovely. Chris is so hospitable making us feel really at home and made us a lovely breakfast. The bed is very comfortable and bedding all pristine and there is a great selection of DVDs to watch !
