Mark and Lydie were excellent hosts. Staff were very friendly. We had an excellent meal on our first evening there. Breakfast each morning was excellent as Mark asked us what time we wanted it. Good selection of fruit etc; and then a full English each day although we just had scrambled eggs on toast on our last morning. Beds were extremely comfortable, so much so that our friend who also stayed there for a couple of nights said it was the first time in years that he had not woken up with neckache.

The community is very proud of their community owned pub, and rightfully so! Breakfast is set out by lovely volunteers, and manager Lucy gave us a wonderful welcome. Lots of nice walks in the area (with a helpful guide to a few walks provided) and it is a good base for adventures into Exmoor.

The owner was very sweet and helpful, you would want to sit down and listen to her life stories. The place is beautiful and atmospheric. Beautiful inside and very clean and tidy. Very friendly family atmosphere. The beds are very comfortable.

The Bus on the Hill was an amazingly quirky place to stay. Waking up to the views from the top deck was such a special treat. We usually go out and about on a holiday but we just couldn't drag ourselves away from the wonderful vistas. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We have totally recharged our batteries and even had a BBQ for breakfast. The hosts balanced a professional but friendly approach. And although they messaged to let us know we could get in touch if we needed anything, they didn't turn up and bother us at all (as some hosts do!). We would thoroughly recommend The Bus on the Hill if anyone is looking for an idyllic, off grid retreat. We can't thank Jane and Richard enough for letting us stay, and hopefully we'll be back again next year to celebrate Andrew's birthday.

Lovely little quiet village. Perfect for our stay for a family wedding and Huntsham court! Beautiful country English village. Spar across the road for groceries and kitchen facilities ! The village was small but lovely to walk around. Plenty of coffee shops near by and two pubs for a bit of food and drink.

Absolutely beautiful stay.

Absolutely beautiful stay. It was so clean and had everything you needed to have a comfortable stay. Excellent location, beautiful scenery and easy access to a local pub and shops etc. We had a book that was filled with local information, takeaways and places of interest. The hot tub was absolutely amazing with a cover and me and my bestie didn't want to leave. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.
