The staff were particularly nice and accommodating.the room was spotless and the comments about it being dated are unfair, it is class and quality in my opinion. I would definitely stay here again but I would eat at their restaurant rather than locally as it is very appealing and the pub we went to was exceptionally underwhelming.

What a lovely building inside and out with beautiful gardens too. Cheerful, helpful staff. Our room, in the main Manor House, was comfortable and spacious with wonderful views over the town. The wood pannelled bar was comfortable and as we were the only guests for the first night the lovely receptionist served us. Magnificent fireplaces. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Looked like a beautiful place for an event. Really nice to have great service in a proper hotel.

The layout is Fab, pictures don't do it justice as much bigger in person. Rob was great, showed us how to get in and couldn't do enough for us. Plenty of facilities available at the property including a hairdryer, iron, washer and dryer. Free wifi. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and orange juice all provided which was an added bonus. Very clean throughout and plenty of towels and hand soaps available throughout the property

Small village. Fantastic landscapes among the mountains. You can walk to the Cwmcarn national forest [ the only and most famous attraction there]. Be prepared with hiking shoes and instruments. Also get food before you go if in weekends because of scanty resturants.

Although we only used this for an overnight stay, this would be a great location to use as a base camp for walking/hiking the local area. The bathroom was superb - although a bit of a process to get a hot shower but the instructions were perfect. With a fantastic view of the hills out the window. The bed, however - wow it was so comfortable. Our only criticism was the Wifi was pretty much unusable, especially trying to get the web TV to actually stream any shows, however expectations were correctly set in the in-room guides and documentation, so it was in no way a disappointment, nor did it detract from our supremely comfortable stay. Would highly recommend for short or long stays, and we will be looking to come back.

The host Ruth was wonderful, accomodating and always ready to assist where possible to ensure our holiday was stress free. The recent Heathrow close down was something no one expected and luckily Ruth allowed us to extend our stay at Cwmcarn. The house was perfect, homely, warm with lovely décor. A beautiful home for us to come home too at the end of the day to relax. Thank you Ruth for your hospitality it is very much appreciated.

This gorgeous accommodation was perfect in every way, there was nothing that we wanted for. We could actually live here. Everything was top quality and the beds were luxurious and extremely comfy! Looks even better in real life. High level of cleanliness and the welcome pack of fresh bread, milk, Welsh cakes, jam & butter was just lovely. Thank you so much Ruth!
