Liam and rachel did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and at home! We loved the view of Harlech castle, the history and vintage feel of the hotel. Our room had space and all items needed. The hotel is not luxurious but has plenty of charm and hard working kind people! We ate a wonderful dinner and breakfast in the hotel and it was delicious and plentiful! We truly enjoyed our visit and the hotel.

Lovely peaceful location; excellent views, close to beach and salt marsh for dog walks. Apartment was very dog friendly. A good kitchen: cooker, pans, dishwasher & vacuum. Close to railway, for days out without driving.

Liked the beach lovely open space with adequate parking nearby. The village itself remains partially unknown apart from driving though. However people we met who had managed to visit, said it was very run down and disappointing. We wanted to see the castle but although we travelled there 3 different times on 3 different days not a parking space existed. In fact the mainstreet was virtually one way as cars parked all along one side. Every car park was full to capacity with cars waiting outside for others to leave. Parking for visitor volumes is totally inadequate.

Harlech is a Welsh castle town.

Harlech is a Welsh castle town. It is the main attraction because of its distinct location . The roads are steep connecting the upper and lower parts of the town and even boasts of the steepest street in the UK! There are many independent shops in the town, which is good to see. If you need anything, a shop somewhere in Harlech will have what you need. Spectacular sunsets can be viewed from good vantage points and the Lleyn Peninsula and North Snowdonia mountains provide a stunning panorama. Trains run regularly north and south of Harlech. I would recommend a trip in either direction for wonderful sea and mountain views. We went just before the beginning of the summer holidays when the town was reasonably quiet. Love Harlech beach, sand dunes and safe bathing.

Harlech is a lovely little place.

Harlech is a lovely little place. Not many shops but that doesnt bother me. Quite a few coffee shops but nothing opens till 10.30. Very pleasant people. The only drawback is the long, very steep road from the raiway station to the town centre. The castle is well worth a visit.

Scenic place with impressive castle at the heart of it.

Scenic place with impressive castle at the heart of it. Limited places to eat in the evening. Lovely beaches nearby and Portmeirion was fascinating place. Close to Porthmadog if you fancy trip on a steam train

Harlech is a lovely town, built up quite a steep hillside, where the castle dominates the views. It has all the necessary amenities, all within walking distance. The beach and dunes are amazing, but are a fair walk from the main road (probably half a mile) and through the golf course. Everywhere is so clean and the scenery is just beautiful, but you should expect quite a lot of steep climbs when walking around the area!

The beach is amazing, even in the wind and it was windy when we were there, The castle was fun and as it was only 1/2 hour away we went to Caernarvon castle the next day, despite being in our 70's we managed a lot of steps ! found a lovely little picnic area behind the hotel with a stream and some pools sculpture and the obligatory picnic tables. Had a great Pizza at the place next to the castle, ( I don't like Pizza really but this was a" woodsman" and absolutely delicious ) mid week and out of season not a lot of choice for eating out is the only down side and a map on how to get onto the beach would have helped we don't have google maps as a crap with phones and tech. Didn't get to the slate quarries but did walk down the steepest road in the UK plenty to do for a week.

The property is well located for a trip to Harlech & the surrounding area. The host was very welcoming & our sea view room was excellent, spotlessly clean & equipped with everything you could need. Breakfast was also very good, with a great choice of food that was cooked to order Would definitely recommend

Incredibly dog friendly hotel with two lovely resident dogs and their human. Comfortable room, great food and very accessible footpaths, beach and of course the town and castle. Definitely very highly recommended and somewhere I would gladly stay again.
