Judith was very welcoming and put as at ease right away. The house had everything you could possibly need or want and Judith supplied it all with a welcoming smile. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with everything we could want. The breakfast was an incredible spread catering for all likes wants and needs, and very delicious.

We really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of this resort. Eating an excellent breakfast each morning overlooking the lake and manicured putting greens was a very nice start to the day. The room was quite spacious for two people, and the bathroom was very good. Located quite close to the airport, it was an easy drive after a long day travelling. Christchurch is a great city, and we found it easy to find our way from Peppers to the city center. It was well located to be able to head north to the Waipara Valley wineries and west to the mountains. Lots of other services in the nearby suburbs. Highly recommended.

Ohoka is a small place with friendly folk and the area in which I stayed. It's peaceful countryside with the occasional hawk or falcon to watch. Local produce and craft are both good. It's a nice peaceful place.

The district is easy to travel in, with several villages...

The district is easy to travel in, with several villages offering shopping, food and drink plus a petrol Station. Some great cafes and small restaurants in each village. It is a district close to Christchurch and is a great option for a country stay.

Judith, the wonderful generous Hostess made us feel so welcome. We can’t rate our stay highly enough. We felt so relaxed in the clean welcoming, environment and appreciated the selection of both food and drinks to help give our day a great start. We will most certainly be back…for longer next time!

I stayed at Ohaka to be close to friends in North Loburn, an on the day decision to stay the night. 5 minutes from the accom was a Pub, small supermarket, Fish n Chips, Thai ( maybe Indian also), garage. I had very nice Pad Thai at Mandeville local Thai, friendly service too. It was a perfect stay for my requirements and far better standard than I would have anticipated for the price. If a Hotel, Id say 5 star :)
