We loved our time here. The spot is tranquil and beautiful. The staff are welcoming and friendly. There's so much to do for adults and kids and the accommodation is very comfortable. The meals in the restaurant are delicious and very generous servings. We didn't want to leave.

The host was amazing. Although there was a lock box at the unit, our host greeted up upon arrival to help, knowing we had a late ferry arrival. The unit was amazing with coastal theme charm, coffee bar, full kitchen, heated towel rack and more. We would book this unit again.

Rhonda is a lovely host. I felt very comfortable at the BNB and enjoyed the beautiful artwork in the space, as well as the bell birds singing in the garden. This is a charming spot in a very quiet neighborhood in Waikawa. I would come again!

The Portage was a lovely place to stay, the views were amazing and the staff extremely helpful. We were dissapointed about only 1 restaurant being open, and therefore not a large selection to choose from. We would recommend asking in advance, if they can make up a sharing platter, as this is not on the menu, and when we asked, they mentioned we should have ordered in advance. The beautiful view from the deck totally lends itself to drinking and grazing on a delicious platter. The kids loved the kayaks and paddle boards. We would recommend booking a transfer and taking a picnic to a secluded beach - we had a wonderful time.

We stayed at Portage for a night while walking the Queen Charlotte track. We got upgraded to the Tui room, which had a lovely view of the sound. The bed was very comfy and the room had everything you need for a night stay. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was great and the staff were friendly. We got a lift to the beginning of the track, which saved 700m of uphill walk on the road.

The locatiom is great! The road from Picton to Portage is an adventure at nightime and a scenic route during daytime. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are nice and they offer kayaking in the bay fro free. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't regret that for one second.

Super new spot. The staff were very accommodating and are really keen to impress. We have stayed elsewhere in Portage previously, but will come back to the Hub in the future. Excellent value and a great, relaxed beach-vibe.

Portage has a great outlook and is in a very isolated spot which is nice if you want to get away from it all.
