What Guests Said About London:

The city completely exceeded all my expectations.

The city completely exceeded all my expectations. Experiencing everything we’ve watched in movies and learned about since childhood felt like a fairytale. The first look at the city after leaving the station literally brought tears to my eyes. We had no issues at all. the city is massive and the landmarks are amazing. There’s so much to see and most museums are mostly free, although you need to book ahead. Getting around by the underground and transit overall was very easy and I highly recommend visiting!

The city exceeded our expectations.

The city exceeded our expectations. The taxi drivers were brilliant. The hop on hop off buses went to all the major sites. Thankfully we booked a 48hr ticket and we still didn't see everything. The transport system in London is excellent. There are plenty of pushbikes to hire and walks along the Thames.

Excellent city but very expensive.

Excellent city but very expensive. Avoid uber boats on Thames. Booking is easy, but the queues - not visible from ticket office - are terrible. We had to wait 1hour and 40 mins to get an Uber boat. We wanted to get our money back but this was not facilitated- we were advised that it would , IF SUCCESSFUL, take up to 72 hours. Way over rated. Avoid. Plus the boat regularly docked taking sometimes onky 2 passengers, sometimes groups would ‘skip’ the queue. So if you see a small queue you’ll still be waiting. Enquire and receive a guarantee before you dare book.

I went down for the South London Miniteca, a fantastic free Latin American and Brazilian music festival in Burgess Park. The city itself is of course very touristy but if you try to plan to go to events off the beaten path in terms of attractions, it's worth it. The public transport was reliable but both the buses and the tube are boiling in the summer - no air conditioning.

Visiting Kew gardens was my highlight, you can easily spend a day there and it is a good break from the city.I would recommend a cruise from Westminster to Greenwich,it gives you great views of central London and is very relaxing, the Maritime museum has plenty of interest and the cafe is good. The Goddards pie and mash was superb and excellent value.I also visited the Chelsea Physic garden,it has a great range of plants and explanations of use in medicine, there are guided tours and a good cafe.

In total we stayed in London for 11 nights, the first visit for 5 nights in the Covent garden area. We then headed over to France and Italy before returning for 3 nights in the London city area and then 3 nights in West Kensington. This enabled us to see and do most of what London has to offer. London is an incredibly easy city to get around, the public transport system is brilliant. We broke our sight seeing activities down into the general area we were staying to avoid too much walking/train travel/time wasting. We ate everywhere. It can be hard to find good food at a good price and there are lots of places with great reviews and social media hype which do not deserve it! However we did eat at the new Gordon Ramsey Bread St 22 Bishopsgate and it was great, we weren't expecting to like it as much as we did. In our opinion London is underrated, there is so much to see and do. Markets, graffiti, boating from Paddington basin, Cockney sing-a-long, Thames river cruise. Do your research and get stuck in!

These aparthotels are located about 10 minutes walk from Aldgate East tube station which is well connected to get all over London. They are secure and accessed by key card swipe at all points of access. The room was a good size with a king size very comfortable bed. Bathroom was well equip with an excellent shower. There is a microwave, fridge and kettle in the room making breakfast easier as it is not provided at these apartments. We were able to store our cases prior to check in and after check out which was very helpful.

The property and its facilities were spotless. The property is conveniently situated to Guys Hospital and having a private apartment was germanr to my stay. Despite there being many apartments within the overall development it remained very quiet throughout my stay. I would use Marlin Apartments more often when in London if ( and in fairness in common with other hotels) dynamic pricing was not so evident I would have no hesitation in recommending Marlin Apartments.
