Sunset over Sea is a classic mid century Australian beach house, directly over the road from the beautiful Rosebud Mc Crae beach on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula. It is cute, compact and simple, and has interiors designed in authentic 1960s style, giving it a modern beachy feel. You will find the house clean and well equipped. Everything at the house is available for your use. I hope you will enjoy the beach house as your own for the duration of your stay.
At Rosebud/McCrae, we like to spend lazy days relaxing at the beach over the road and going bushwalking, or visiting local winery restaurants, or shopping at local farm gates or markets. I keep a box of brochures and maps at the house for the many activities available close by and you can always contact me for advice of what to see and do during your stay.
Our house is in McCrae/Rosebud at the start of the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, less than a 1 hour drive from Melbourne's CBD. The beach house is directly over the road from a beautiful calm bay beach which is safe for children and perfect for swimming, paddling in the shallows, or just lazing on the sand. A 5 minute walk from the house is McCrae Plaza for all your shopping needs; supermarket, fruit and vegetable shop, wine shop, bread shop and cafe. Rosebud central is on the same road as the house and is less than a 10 minute drive by car or local bus, and has more supermarkets, bars, restaurants, cinemas, department stores, the library and a hospital. There are dozens of great coffee shops and wonderful places to dine within easy walking distance. The famous Mornington Peninsula Hot Springs, wineries, cellar door sales, top class winery restaurants, berry farms, golfing, bushwalking, Sky Eagle and all the tourist attractions of the peninsula are all nearby.
