Little Syke, in the heart of Nun Monkton, is a self contained bungalow with original features, characterful up-cycled additions, adorned with stained glass windows and reclaimed carpentry. The peaceful double bedroom has a king size bed where you can wake up with views onto the village green. The bright living space has views of the spacious garden and you will have your own outdoor space, to enjoy the sounds of wildlife during the day and star gaze on clear nights. The perfect place to relax.
I am Tom - a well-travelled music producer and craftsman who loves having guests and welcoming new people to our idyllic neighbourhood. My wife Rachel loves being creative in music, art and gardening. We escaped to Nun Monkton in 2022 after living in London for 25 years.
Nun Monkton is one of Yorkshire's many best kept secrets. It's a magical historical place with an award winning pub (The Alice Hawthorn), 11th century church and village green fit with a Maypole. We have resident geese and ducks who enjoy the ponds and even cows with free rein of the green in warmer months.
There are many adventures to be had a short drive away into York, Harrogate and the surrounding countryside. There are several walks accessible right from your doorstep too.
We have a wonderful little community here who take good care of each other and the neighbourhood and hope our guests will do the same.
The nearest train station is Hammerton and the village can be reached by car.
